As Germany, I don't anticipate much naval action, so I'll post instructions to you for those phases where I do send out subs or ships and let you do the movements and run the combats. We may need some checking on targeting and losses. Ground strike phase I'll try and post instructions as well.

It's really the land movement phase where I'll need to take over the file once you've done the Italians and Japanese.

Working through the combat phases will be best done by whoever has the most going on. We'll need to let each other know what ground support and escort is intended.

For this impulse.

No port attacks.

Naval Air - Fly the HE-112 to the North Sea 2-box.

Ground strikes -5 factor Stuka on Warsaw and 4 factor Stuka on Lodz.

1 air move kept in reserve in case Ju-52 needed for reorg.

Looks like you are around, so I suggest you run the game up until you've done your land movement then send the file to me.

Edit: Just seen you've edited the above post and are carrying on.

For Game 4: UK vs Nordic 2, with me playing CW/US, I suggest I drive the game up until land movement and then hand over to you once I've done mine. I'll just need some instructions for French naval movement and any air missions.

Where do you want the Stukas re-based to?

Edit: To keep the game moving I will re-base west if I can or a place of safety if not.

Umezu will not take part in the attack. This should still give enough for 4:1 because of fractionals, butinclude the NAV bomber just in case please.
If I get stuffed, reorganise the three best Corps (all south of the river) and return the aircraft to the hex with the 20th Army on it.

Thanks

1 short of avoiding disorganisation. Do you still want Umezu to reorg the best 3?

Yes please - and can you move one of the units in the south into the city (don't bother changing it if you have already moved someone else - so long as no disorganised aircraft is left unattended!).

A little unlucky on the dice front there I felt - 2, 4, 5 and 9 - although good enough for our immediate purposes I guess. Shame following up that success is now a tad more difficult.

It's not too bad in Poland as there isn't anything left to do other than transfer units west.

China was unfortunate but with the reorgs plus the HQ and other units coming down from the north, you still have a reasonable force left.

The ChiCom units should be fairly static if USSR is going for Persia. The Nationalist 2-4 CAV will be the one to watch.

As they have taken the **** a little (not massively) I would urge a strong Polish set up - and (whilst initially out of the way) be prepared to use the aircraft if things go anything but smoothly initially. One panzer corps and von Rundstedt on the western front. Lets give 'em hell and trust to me ol'mucker for the rest....

I did wonder whether to play along with it and and do a set-up where the bulk of the army would be interned by USSR. I've gone more conventional but put the planes where they could make an escorted ground strike (but slightly more exposed) or are in range to flee.

Sunk. It would say "bottomed" if she was.

Quite. But remember AllenK, we have one thing they will never have. We are British! So let's keep a stiff upper lip, have a cup or two of tea and listen to Elgar!

Indeed my jolly old fruitcake.

Apart from Scharnhorst everything else was always going to be lost. That was unfortunate but placed there as a temptation to draw away ground strikes on the Denmark force and/or Strat bombing. On balance, I'll take it especially if it means it's used up some of their good luck quotient.
