I’ve resurrected this ‘Aircraft Porn’ thread for some more colour photos of WW2 aircraft. The Guardian website has posted some from the Imperial War Museum’s upcoming new book War in the Air: The Second World War in Colour.

https://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/gallery/2019/feb/25/the-second-world-war-in-colour-pictures?

Some great photos there and thankfully they aren't on the Daily Mail site.

Thanks.

Great photos of WWII aircraft in colour are great photos of WWII aircraft in colour - who gives a toss what publication provides them?

Thanks for posting redcoat. One of the pictures you've provided is of the Lancaster S-Sugar - the first allied bomber to make 100 operations. For those interested in further reading there is a link to a website below. S-Sugar survived the war (she went on to survive 137 operations!).

for 18's and over only!
What is that supposed to mean?
You know what they say, don't you? About how us MechWarriors are the modern knights, how warfare has become civilized now that we have to abide by conventions and rules of war. Don't believe it.

Well there is a reference to porn. That usually means (or at least officially did in the old days [;)]) for adults only; for adults only means 18 and over.

I do. The Daily Mail was/is one of the most insecure websites in the UK.
