I keep returning to Steel Panthers. I've been playing one version or another for years and years. At the moment I mostly play WinSPMBT. It is an old game, but people still play it. It is updated every year. The game's forum is still reasonably active.

My favorite WWII game is JTCS. Steel Panthers is another game I'd like to play. I was thinking to buy the Matrix version but I think the price is a bit too high....

Game itself is free. It is Mega Campaigns that cost $$

You know what they say, don't you? About how us MechWarriors are the modern knights, how warfare has become civilized now that we have to abide by conventions and rules of war. Don't believe it.

You can also get free versions of WinSPWW2 here and WinSPMBT (tactical warfare 1946-2025) here.

I noticed WinSPWW2 has a Random map Generator but WinSPMBT does not? Which one is the best to get as I like to use Random map generation. Thanks

Panzer General Forever - PG Forever is a free game like Panzer General - and includes WW1 and WW2 scenarios.

I just downloaded it from here and played a couple of scenarios : http://panzergeneraldownload.com/panzer ... rever.html

download, extract, go into the folder and play PG.exe There are also 3 other games included.

Didn't the guy who did this join Matrix, or was it another company?

First I will tell you some of the games I have that I have never finished.

1. Oblivion - the predecessor to Skyrim. I've never completed it.
2. Pillars of Eternity? Yeah, never finished.
3. Assassin's Creed - Syndicate
4. All of those Batman games. I have 4 never finished one.
5. Lords of Xulima
6. Baldur's Gate 2
7. Dark Souls
8. Mass Effect 2
9. Grim Dawn - I haven't really ever finished this. I finished the main game recently, but not the expansion.
10. The Witcher 3

So, here are the ones I crank up all the time.

1. Age of Empires II - The HD edition. Older game with updated graphics. I play this 3-4 times a week.
2. Everquest - I started on one of their progression servers. I expect this is my last hurrah, though.
3. Kerbal Space Program - Really more of a sandbox game, so you never quite finish, but I've never flown to all of the planets yet.
4. Call of Duty 1, Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Bad Company2.
