ORIGINAL: Hairog

Beautiful Sipres... amazing what you can do with so few pixels. Great job!

Thank you Hairog, the real challenge will be the zoom version, but I will find a way...

Hey SIPRES!

Your counter mod made the game pop for me when I first started playing it, this new set you are working on is evolutionary and organic to the first set. I am looking forward to playing some more campaigns when you get the mod finished, the US looks great.

Thanks all

I did a complete rework a kind of "WW2 in colors"
Many changes compared to the original version I post but I believe it really gives a nice look to add colorized silhouettes.

Again still on going work and any comments are welcomed

Agreed, they look superb! Maybe it’s just me, but I’m jtoo fluent with NATO symbols for the ground units to get use to silhouettes for them. but I love the colorized silhouettes for air and naval units.

They look gorgeous! The only issue I spotted, is that the last "X" of infantry army symbol, is covered by the soldier. Also, the first mechanized tech level, look like a supply truck, not a combat unit. So I would suggest maybe a riffle image above the truck or a NATO infantry symbol.

Here is latest progress

on right side of image you can see "high res" sample version for ground/air/naval
I did add small Natos to mobile units (tanks Recon and Mech)
Remove Nato for Special force (add a Ranger patch instead of)
I like to keep the GMC truck for MECH tech 0 as a kind of early war motorized unit

still to be done:
Field Arty
Heavy Arty
Few navy's
AA's

I couldnt find any USA armored train decent color image, so if anybody got one or knows a Web link, just let me know.

Also still thinking about USA partisan picture (actually a USA Flag with a black silhouette)

Thanks for your comments

The American unit counters are spectacular looking. I only wish they used the 48-star flag that was in use in WW I, WW II, and the Korean War, rather than the modern 50 star flag.

(You can tell which flag is which without having to actually count the stars: the stars on the 21rst century flag are arranged in a checkerboard, and the stars on the earlier flag were set up in orderly rows and columns.)

Formidable

I would not make it too complicated. I think for the armored train you could use identical bitmaps for all countries...

Wow!!![X(]
Those are, for lack of a better word: Perfect!

I really like the mini-NATOs on the mobile units!
Have you tried mini-NATOs on arty units? I mean instead of e.g. AT & AA for bit more uniform counter layout.

@ Hubert & Bill: We now need another zoom lever for those amazing his-res counters![:)]

I agree - that's a huge plus from my perspective. Nicely done.
