I was just reporting some questionable use of smoke by AI units [;)]...

In case #1 (above), the StuG fired a smoke round into a building hex containing an American squad and a leader, after the Defensive fire from the adjacent German stack achieved nothing. I would have fired HE, but perhaps the +2 modifier caused by smoke was more likely to reduce the effectiveness of the American squad Advancing Fire [&:].

In case #2 (below) the Brummbar fired a 150mm smoke round into a hex containing a broken US squad: in this case, I failed to understand why it didn't fire a HE round.

StuG cannot damage the American infantry hex using HE, so it starts looking for potential target hexes where it can fire smoke either human AFV or human personnel hex.

I have just released 1.1.07 to further tweak the AI Smoke/WP logic

SO UPDATE5 is done, I'm just wrapping things up. I sent info about Smoke/WP to the publisher so that the manual gets updated. Once that's done, I will send publisher the whole package and it should get released soon. Thanks all of you for your help in testing and feedback! I appreciate it :)

I just got an updated manual from the publisher, so as of this morning I have officially submitted UPDATE5 to the publisher - hope it won't be long now.

Cheers!
