21th Feb 1943

Well, do not call wolf, wolf my be nearby !!!

Very next turn all allied carriers show up east of New Caledonia.

It seems that as usually allied flattops are moving with fighters only. My small air deatachment was not strong enought to break out to ships ;(. I seems that we will see landing at Noumea in 2 days. I have moved all planes back to Rabaul and both fighter groups were converted to A6M3a.

I have hopes this will turn to be beginning of new campaigning, not just CAP trap ( I have not spotted any transport ships ).

No landing. Allied fleet has changed course to south-east and, still keeping 9 hex distance. My naval-search still have not spotted any transport ships. Detected ships are mostly cruisers, carries and battleships.

20 subs is patrolling waters between allied fleet and Noumea. If he continue moving around for 2 days I will have additionally 20 subs and 200 new mines will be laid in port.

R&D update:
several planes went into production during this quiet period of time.
List:
A6M3a, A6M5, Ki-44-IIc, Ki-43-IIb, Ki-48-IIa, D4Y1, Ki-61-Ia ...

I do not know what is scarier: that I do understand nothing of this demonic script or that I am starting to see the demons that it evokes.

Are you going after the Kikka?

I bet you could really punish the Allies with that guy, and some decent last generation fighters! You will have time to get them, too!

I had them in previous game vs Mike. But there was no good opportunity to use them due short range. I lost half of them due night bombing AF by hordes B-29. So this time I will not build them especially that we are playing scenario 1.

Yes he does have bombers. But it seems they are just sitting on deck. No sight of naval search or ASW duty from carriers planes.
Statistics are not showing any ops losses either. Maybe he is tying to bait KB ???. No clue what it is about and KB is far away without fuel :( Tankers are delayed in Turk.

February 4th March 1943

South Pacific:

Mike did not sent his heavy bombers to hit again Horn Island. Instead of this he send 37 dive bombers escorted by 73 P-40.
However only first 14 Navy SBD arrived with escort, which failed completely to protect them. Next two waves 18 and 13 A-24 were easily shoot down by CAP. Result is not very good for Mike, he lost 23 A-24, 15 SBD-3 and 2 P-40K without causing any losses to Empire.

What is your loss ratio with his planes. I am always interested in seeing these in other contests. Mine as of Jan 13th 43 is Allies 4,365, Japanese 6,365.
