There's Kurosawa, Hitchcock, Spielberg. Then everybody else.

Er... You forgot Sergio Leone and Stanley Kubrick.
Kubrick would resurrect Dr. Strangelove for a sequel.

+1 for Dr. Strangelove, +2 for Peter Sellers

I am working from home. On the bright side, my primary customer is staying open and keeping us busy, because it's the Dept. of Veterans Affairs. On the down side, I am in sales, and they are not buying ANYTHING right now if it isn't directly related to COVID 19, and software with a 6 to 12 month implementation cycle is....a non-starter right now.

All of my fellow salespeople are worried because if customers can't or won't buy anything, why do you need salespeople?

Do the periscope sub then challenge us to ID her.

Weirdly enough , the Royal Navy station on Gibraltar used to have a couple of supper powerful mounted binoculars with a silhouette chart on the wall behind it with most of the world's periscopes on it. You might not get the exact boat , or even her class, but certainly the nation of manufacture. And as modern subs ALWAYS put up ESM , RADAR and com masts as well , you can more often than not ID the subs class. [:)]

Guessing this is from the era when submarine turbines weren't powerful enough to fight the underwater currents at above a walking pace.

First week working entirely from home here. Instead of going out, treating myself at home.

Remember folks: when making craft drinks, large ice cubes protect complex flavors. You don't want to lose the "flat diet mountain dew found in the back of the fridge" taste with crushed ice.

Ah....exactly how fast do you think submarines go when passing trough a narrow choke point? ALL subs, nuke , diesel and AIP ALL slow waaaay down when going through a narrow restricted passage. I've spent a fair bit of time operating in the STRAUB (straights of Gibraltar) and I can attest to this. Any sub trying to pass through covertly will certainly pass through at minimum speed.

Sergio Leone would be nothing without Ennio Morricone

but Bernard Herrmann sure helped Hitchcock!

Our entire office is working from home indefinitely, so I'm still spending the usual amount of time working. Lots of music and movies with my wife in the evenings. We're fortunate that we can stay holed up for a month if we need to with no significant income worries.

No AE game going for me at the moment since my game with Mike Solli was put on hold last summer.
