Morning Fellas.

I have added Nomad and Kitakami and they have files sent.

Since it is causing some confusion, I am thinking of separating the Master File into the BTS Lite and Heavy so one can load the differing Mods and see the unique ship builds. Will do that after we brave the wilds of shopping this morning.

There is no upgrade to the A6M2. It is what it is. Until one can bring in the A7M1 there are no options for the Japanese Carriers.

Greets all, and honoured to be helping a bit with this.

Japanese IJN Planes:

- A6M2 upgrade points to 612, which is not defined. I think it should point to itself, 603.
- A6M2 Sen Baku upgrade points to 607, which is not defined. I think it should point to itself, 604.
- B5N2-C upgrades to the D4Y1-C... is that correct? Not saying no, just asking.
- F1M2 upgrades to the A6M2-N. Question: would the A6M2-N fit in the Japanese CAs? I am not sure, that is why I ask.

Will look at the IJA planes next.

I thought that China was supposed to have some massive changes? They look about the same to me.

Japanese IJA Planes:

- Ki-61-Ib is available 10/43; Ki-61-Ic is available 9/43... is that correct?

The files for china apparently got corrupted at one point prior to the playtest files being sent out, and was therefore not included in this test.

Anyway, regarding art, the following plane models are outright missing art:
Yasukuni
N1K4-J
All Japanese heavy bombers
J6M1, which is just the Navy Ki-83 as far as i can tell.

The B6N2a, B5N2-C, B7A3, C6N2 and D4Y5 all share bitmaps with prior models.

No allied Air Art is missing as far as i can tell. I'm going to check naval art later today.

Am home and shall divide the Master File into BTSL and BTSH. This should alleviate concerns...

Ships:
Chesapeake for some reason has both a size 6 floatplane and a size two floatplane unit on it. It has a maximum floatplane capacity of 6, so it cannot handle both units once they are filled out. The units in question are slot 2159 (size six) and 2522 (size two).

Endracht has no ship art. On the Japanese side, Niitaka, G.6 CVL, Fuji CB, Owari BB are missing art.

The slot numbers for the units that Larry previously found as having no locations are: 1859 (VF-32), 2301 (Royal Sov. floatplane), and 1860 (VT-32).
VF-103 [2248] and VB-103 [2249] starts off stationed on Tanger, which is an AV.

bdt64 asked about a wire chart for airframe upgrades. I always make one when I start a new scenario as the Japanese... I would not be able to do much without it. Tried to upload it in this message, but it is too big a PDF. What should I do?

Do you have a Google Drive setup. You can upload to the Google drive and share it. Then copy and paste the link here. And thank you Kitakami for making one....GP

Japanese Ships:

- CB Fuji & Kita start the scenario with 36cm rifles, and CB Okuhotaka is also built with 36cm rifles, but CB Aino, Yari, & Warusawa are built with 31cm rifles... Is that corect?

Since the Chinese mods are not done yet, I spent my time looking at the Allied aircraft and found these problems.

Allied Aircraft
#393 has wpn 1 as 1987 and wpn 11 as 174 Both should be 1987
#485 has wpn 1 as 1893 and wpn 11 as 161 both should be 1893
#498 has wpn 1 as 1893 and wpn 11 as 183 both should be 1893
#285 has wpn 4 & 5 as 1994 and wpn 14 & 15 as 161 they should all be 1994
#339 has wpn 1 as 1893 and wpn 11 as 150 both should be 1893
#289 has wpn 1 as 1994 and wpn 11 as 161 both should be 1994
#290 has wpn 3, 4 & 5 as 1994 and wpn 13, 14 & 15 as 161 they should all be 1994

#169 has wpn 2 as 150 and wpn 12 as 161 both should be 150
#499 has wpn 1 has 183 which is a Japanese MG wpn 11 and 12 are 1893 but
wpn 2 is a bomb and wpn 13 is a bomb. You will need to figure out
what you want.
#291 has wpn 1,3,4 and 5 as 1994 and wpn 11,13,14,15 as 161 all should be 1994

#292 has wpn 1, 3, 4 & 5 as 1994 and wpn 11,13,14 & 15 as 161 all should be 1994
As a question shouldn't #161 have the same guns as 292? Australian

OK. Got everything fixed.

Here is the list:
1. Aircraft Slots 1859, 1860, 2248, and 2249 Deleted. Original ships assigned were changed and I missed this.
2. Royal Sovereign Walrus group assigned to KGV.
3. A6M2 upgrades to itself.
4. A6M2 Sen Baku upgrades to itself.
5. Chesepeake BC Air Group now just 2159 with six FP.
6. Oro Bay double slotted fixed: 987 deleted and 994 left.
7. Ki-61-Ib 10-43 and Ki-61-Ic 12-43 dates changed. Need to see when this happened to make sure I am correct.
8. CB Class now fixed with correct 36CM Main Guns.

Will send the revamped Files in a few minutes. Now dubbed Scen 50--Master Files 1.1

Well done and fine work everyone!

All those 4EB issues are probably Big B's changes to make the 4EB much more dangerous to fighters. Am I correct Michael?

As to the China question, Michael lost half of his Mod installs earlier in the week and he lost all the China changes. He'll get back to that once we are done with catching stuff and testing. Some point later, we'll present a mod variant with a TOTALLY different China. Do you want 'normal' China or something WAY different? Should be a fun choice...

From Big B's mod's "Read me" notes.
Heavy Bombers: American Heavy Bombers (B-17, B-24, & B-29) equipped with power turrets have had those weapons boosted in accuracy rating (fully powered turrets, with reflector gun sights, are much more accurate than hand held machine-guns...And – this will help reflect the Mutual Support that American Heavy Bomber units had – with their unique tactical doctrine – the Bomber Box).

I went through all the American heavy bombers with Brian's mod to find which slots now have the "power turrets." They are now device 1994 versus stock having device 161. Device 161 has "accuracy" of 29 while the new power turret device, 1994, has accuracy increased to 44. Just about every slot will have 1994 by '44 except the "side" will remain as the traditional "waist gunner."

JFB may have some issues above the usual when facing mid to late war Allied 4e beasties. [8D]

Hi Michael - happy Tuesday to you!

As a long-standing JFB, I would like to file my official 4E complaint. Can you refer me to this mod's complaint department so I can fill out the proper paperwork? [:D][:D]

Hey - I just wanted to thank all of you that are investing your time in this mod. I've kicked the tires a few times and I really enjoy the what-if history behind the mods.

Ya'll totally rock - thanks again.

Thank You Sir! I'll echo your sentiments on the 4EB.

Developments for today include splitting the Master File into the component files for Between the Storms Heavy (BTSH) and Between the Storms Lite (BTSL). The Heavy variant features four possible Yamato-Class and then the Fuji-Class Light Battle Cruisers (6 of them--CC). BTSL has the more conventional Owari-Class (4 of them with 9 16" rifles), 2 B-65-Class BC, and the Niitaka-Class CA (6 in class). These are the only differences in the Mods.
