Max Hoffmann replied "Your Majesty, I will start with review of our situation in Montenegro. Our fleet is there in action shelling Montenegrian troops. Those mountainous peasants attacked us Sir, and cut us off from supply on the coast, we will have to deal with this situation and we will send some reinforcements just in case..."

"In Serbia, Austro-Hungarian forces managed to destroy few Serbian regiments and to capture Uzice which is now under counterattack by Serbian forces... Rather good start for our cousins Austro-Hungarians in Serbia! But, they are tough nut to crack so we have sent one German corps of HQ (arty), and two German reserve infantry divisions. This will help Austro-Hungarians to beat the crap out of Serbs much more speedily..."

Commanding general Ludendorff, in charge of Ob Ost, was now transfered his HQ much forward, actually very near front lines on Eastern Front 1914. He was at Lotzen and he can hear thunderous barrage from the not so distant front lines...
Captain Wolfgang Shulze of intelligence corps was waiting in an ante room to be received by Ludendorff and to deliver him latest informations on battles on Eastern Front in till August 19, AD 1914. Fateful year.
Since the beginning of the war, front erupted and massive battles were fought, but cheerful news is that in almost all battles Central Powers have proved their fighting worth. Casualties inflicted to Russians and Serbs are enormous.... Some twenty Russian divisions were annihilated in gigantic battles on Eastern Front and few Serbians as well....
But, my dear readers, let's see what Shulze has to say....
Ludendorff "Come in, come in my dear Shulze, I've already heard that you are bringing me good news from the front?"
Shulze :"Jawohl, Herr Oberstubafuhrerr, oh excuse me Fieldmarshal Ludendorff, there is excellent news from the front. German and Austrian forces to some extent are tirring apart Serbs and Russians... Russian Bear is soundly beaten and it is good because we don't want that they get too ambitious here... We have teached them a good lesson in modern warfare.
Sir, I will start with this map. As you can see on this map, splendid victory on the Mlawa sector just north of Warsaw. We have annihilated 5 divisions of Russkies, only some remnants left to be destroyed and road to Warsaw is open. Maybe we will bypass Russian fortress of Zegrzh but just maybe, but Nowogeorgiewsk that mighty Russian fortress is on the road to Warsaw and will
have to be conquered. We expect high losses, there are some armored trains in Nowogeorgiewsk and they are tough in defense."

Warsaw is mighty fortress, Ivangorod, SE down Vistula river is also a mighty fortress, and already mentioned Novogeorgievsk is also a mighty fortress. All three have armored trains in addition of hundreds of guns as defense so they will be hard to destroy and taken, we don't want high losses in any battles so that all our units can be up to strength brought up very fast... But we must take all those fortresses before we can continue any offensive to the east... But, offensive is rolling really fast and exceeds our expectations beyond belief. Either Russian generals are dead drunk or I don't really know... See on the map that we are in the process of destroying Elite Russian Guard corps. They are in the pocket just west of Warsaw. Entire Guard Corps, elite of the elite was surrounded and now will be destroyed, only remnants are left... And very important we are advancing on broad front toward Vistula river. A great victory in the making in the East. Our ancestors would be proud. German Reich has proved it's invincibility."

"Sir, on this map you can see generally southern Poland area, as you can see we have destroyed those Russians units near border and destroyed some pocketed Russian divisions and still in the process of making more pockets. That way it is much easier to destroy them, rather then frontally... Situation here is favorable for continuing of our offensive. We will try to destroy that Russian flank completely but that takes time..."

"Sir, this is new map of Brody area. Russian here attack like that they have eaten mad cows or I don't know what has bitten them, but they are attacking with mighty anger. But, so far our little cousins Austro Hungarians have done their duty admirably and except few crises, line - HELD. And that is most important for now. Some second rate Austrian March brigades were brought here but we don't have much reserves left. Only some maybe 5 to ten divisions but that is only for really critical emergencies... As everywhere we are shelling them with our superb artillery and inflicting them horrendous losses. Some units evaporated during arty bombing of ours... Well we will shell them till New Year if needed, just not with Morser units because we already lost two, they are very fragile so we will pull them out of front to not lose any other..."

"This is Czernowitze part of the Austro Hungarian Eastern Front. Austro Hungarian forces are defending magnificently. We must give their Generals medal for heroic defense. We are digging in here, and shelling Russians to hell with mighty AH arty which has tubes up to 420mm. We will tear them apart with such arty tubes, believe me or not... And when they are significantly weakened we will of course advance with our much fresher troops... That is the plan."

"And this is area of Eastern Prussia. We defend here, Russians are attacking here but so far they didn't have any notable success here. Our lines are very strong here. Lines will be fortified with multiple trench lines and good arty as support.
Some reserves OK are put on tactical support or just defend behind front lines for any emergency. It is good to have some reserves behind front lines, but for now almost all fronts will have to fight a war with what they have. We must wait for some time to new reinforcements arrive."

Meanwhile in Serbia we have taken their capitol, Belgrade with not so big losses sustained. We have also destroyed many Serbian units and we will keep advancing from the north, according to General Alfred Krauss book that is valid strategy (he destroyed one Serbian division and took 5000 prisoners so he is a trusted man [;)]) Generally offensive in Serbia is going rather well, but majority of Serb forces are inland and this will be tough fight as their units are strong and they have few really good units, they will damage us but we must take Serbia as soon as possible and link with Bulgaria and Ottoman Empire they will all join us sooner or later and we must clear this rail connection.

And this is Montenegro area, well we have brought two good Bayern division to teach those Balkan peasants how to behave. [:D]
So, we will here counterattack or let Montenegrians bleed themselves in attack. We have also ships here. Planes are crap, this is WW1.
