Here is a link to the first decent map taken from the Gaia data set. It's only 10 parsecs in 2D, shows the z axis as a negative/positive number in parens. Also has number of discovered planets on appropriate stars and shows brown dwarfs.

Nice find! This could totally be used as a smaller-scale space strategy setting too.

The overlapping data seem roughly the same as what I have, although my map admittedly lacks information on most binary and trinary associations. I should be able to get something similar in terms of star location if I plotted the within-10-pc info of my dataset, but if this comes directly from the most recent Gaia update, one might as well just use this.
