So 66% of the Axis air losses were operational.....ouch.

Did you send any bombers unescorted due to range restrictions of fighter escorts ?

Ya, operational losses are real ;-)

I sent some not escorted bombers that was less than 6 hexes from the Border. But even that is a crap shot at times I have noticed in my testing in Beta.

Flying Escort I will normally not lose a bomber on the first turn. But has happened on occasion. I also turn off ground support at the end of Air Execution so that the German fighters can concentrate 100% on intercepting the Soviets Ground support.

Those bomber crews should do the lottery 😃

Were you flying two or three times in the week or was it more to account for the Ops losses ?

I flew only D1 missions for "all" bombing.

Please note that planning the "route to the target matters" too because of flak. Make sure to alter the route not over HEAVY flak concentrations. Flak get ever increasingly dangerous as the turns go on.

Looking at my photos I just confirmed that I set only the hex in between those two airfields to itself instead of setting the range to 1 hex to cover both Airfields for the Lvov airfields to be bombed :( Oh well, would have been nice to have those aircraft destroyed on the ground but will just pick those Soviet Fighters and bombers up by intercepting their ground support. Although that normally isn't always good for the Germans (lots of Fighter losses)

Ok, have some time before I have more "Honey Do's" to do to work on the AAR!

I do some book keeping in the Commanders Report for units that are "on map". I won't get into the details of everything I do but one thing of note that I do do of importance to me is to retrain the 110-2's to Fighters. They will be gone 8 turns to retrain to fighters but I want them as fighters for a specific reason which I will let be known later. I do realize many of those squadrons will be withdrawn later anyway but to me it is worth it.

Next on the agenda is which front first? I always start with the Southern front because how I do things requires a great many resources from another front to have a chance of working. Thus I will start there.

Next question is to do a Lvov pocket(sort of) like in WITE1. Not near as effective as WITE1 and I have drawn the route on the Snapshot below. But to me I have found it is not worth it even though many will disagree with me. I personally like locking down the Southern Front. Hence I will be going for a Southern Front lock down by not passing certain hexes in the South. Please look up releasing the Soviet Southern Front in the manual for a full description. It is a bit cryptic, at least when I read it it was to me. If you have questions after reading the manual I am more than happy to explain and show in this AAR. I did a lot of testing to make sure I understood 100% in the BETA for this strat. (I did use this strat in 2 AAR's and found to be more effective in my opinion of course)

Turn 1

South Front

1st attack across border has the desire effect of "greater" than 10-1 odds(to not cause delay in the hex) AND shooting down a whole lot of Soviet airframes. Again I am "not" using ground support. I may turn on if I think the hex could be a problem hex but rarely have I had to.

I will show a few opening moves but will fade these away after I run out of helpful remarks for newer players to WITE2. I don't remember everything so feel free to ask :)

Turn 1

South Front

2nd attack more air units loses + more than 10-1 to cause no delay from a hasty attack.

Turn 1

South Front

3rd attack more air units loses + more than 10-1 to cause no delay from a hasty attack. (Remember, delay is ONLY added to your movement when you leave the hex. NOT when you enter the hex)
