Hi Duncan,

Thanks for the log. I was able to replicate and hopefully fox your issue.

It is related to the fact that game runs on screen which has only 768 pixels. Since task bar is visible it get reduced to 749

During the game load game window is probably got maximized, which makes font instances to be loaded twice!

This is causing map fonts to be accessed incorrectly and you were getting crash or no map fonts.

Please find attached fixed version which should load all map fonts correctly (no double font init should be possible)

Besides I suggest you to switch fullscreen mode in preferences. In such a case game will get minimum required height of 768 pixels right from the start.

Has the attached WarInTheEast2.exe to replace the same in the WitE2 folder?

As written above:

1. Make a copy of original WarInTheEast2.exe
2. Extract and copy provided exe into game installation folder

And will it be the same for next patch too?

Provided exe is 1.00.07 + font load fix. Next beta will have these fixes as well.

Hi Pavel,

I have downloaded the latest file and installed it. A loaded scenario is now showing the cities, towns and geographical features on the map which were missing earlier. Thank you for providing the fix.

I have also followed your suggestion regarding full-screen mode, which is much better. Thanks again.
