I actually like the picture of the RED Army Officer more than the German solider. The Red Army wasn't just Russians with many cultures fighting in the Red Army. Also they wore that hat with a star on it. The star was smaller but this is a cartoon version of him, so makes sense it would be made larger.

Russians wore big stars on budenovkas, which were canceled after the Finnish war. The Russian officer looks fine except for the hat! :)

How do we know if we got a book? I pre-ordered the boxed deluxe or whatever it was. I thought I was getting a book but didn't get any updates?

I didn't get any mail, pre-ordered on 3 march, so put in a support ticket and was told it was posted by Royal Mail (to Belgium....) almost a week ago. No notification mail, no tracking. And it hasn't yet arrived.

Unfortunately the UK has left the EU which might result in extra custom checks.

I am late to the party.., I always feared the Grigsby games due to their massiveness (not sure that is a word). I watched some youtubes and read some stuff.., I think I am going to get this. I am posting this to ask what is the 'thing' to get the printed manual? Am I too late? If I am, can I buy it and how much? Thanks.

If you checked the box for the physical edition and paid the extra $20 plus shipping over the base priced, then you did order a manual and it will be shipped out as soon as possible. The first 1,000 manuals were air-shipped to our warehouse, but those were all spoken for in the pre-order phase, so post-release orders will be fulfilled from the manuals arriving by sea shipment, which means they'll be shipping out during May.

On top of everything else, shipping times have been fairly unpredictable during the last pandemic year. I'd advise a bit more patience as it's likely just making its way through the system.

Personally, if you can afford it I would absolutely advise getting the printed manual. They are still available, but orders placed now will be shipped in May once the additional manuals arriving by sea get to our warehouse. You'll still get the download version immediately and a free Steam key once we release it on Steam in the future.

My book has NOT arrived yet...
Shipped from UK on April 12th, it is probably... somewhere (because we do not receive any tracking info)

I ordered a gadget from China that shipped on April 13. Free shipping, full tracking, arrived today...from the other side of the world...
