Probably not worth starting a new thread so I will tack my question here: What is the ratio of landing craft to troop size/strength that I should be shooting for? Thxs.,👍

What do you mean? For the enemy strength? I would estimate probably 5:1 for expected enemy strength for a coup de main with air/naval support. 6-7:1 for no support (defender's jungle/port advantage). It's also nice if you can clear the beach with a low strength unit so that subsequent landing are unopposed and don't suffer the amphibious penalty.

Nah, I mean how many landing craft should I be building on the production screen to supply a division/corp/etc so it can invade. Apologies for the noob question.

Can you display a messagebox with the exact reason why you can't invade?

This would be a nice enhancement as I had same issue with WarPLan.

Check the STR of the unit...that is how many LC you need...
With the following exceptions.

Mech and Armor take double.
Armies currently take double (bug)

So a 3/10 Inf Div will use 3 LC.

BUT and 30/30 Armor Corps will use 60 LC.

I think the only reasons if you checked the spot beforehand and have LC are weather and the unit is in garrison mode (in which case landing craft number won't show up on the embarked unit's unit card).

Did you finally found the reason why you can't invade?
Chancellor Gorkon to Captain James T. Kirk:
You don't trust me, do you? I don't blame you. If there is to be a brave new world, our generation is going to have the hardest time living in it.
