I got some small revenge in Egypt by sinking the other British sub.

NOVEMBER 8, 1940

A very bad turn for the German Navy. First a 4 strength U-Boat is sunk off the coast of Africa.

Then my CA is indeed found and sunk off the coast of Norway. The frustrating thing for me is that in our mirror game my RN was unable to locate a much larger German fleet in the same location with more search attempts. But that is the way the luck can go in this game. I am sure I will get my share of it too.

I get some small revenge when my bomber scores a few hits on the UK fleet as it moves around in range. I also scored a couple more hits on my turn on the fleet circled in red, but I forgot to take screenshots.

NOVEMBER 22 AND DECEMBER 8, 1940

Nothing worthy of a screenshot happens on these 2 turns as bad weather in Norway prevents much action and neither of us is inclined to go on the offensive in Egypt.

Based on your naval issues...you should definitely not venture into the Pacific.

I score some bombing hits on the British Fleet in Bergen and than assault and capture the City. Unfortunately, Trondheim remains in British hands. This means I will not be getting any Iron Ore from Sweden over the Winter.

JANUARY 3, 1941

7 MS and an escort sunk for the cost of only 1 U-Boat hit. But I am afraid it is a bit of too much too late. With only 3 U-Boat squadrons left and over 225 British MS remaining the BoA is already lost. The only consolation is that MM is not doing much better in our mirror game.

4 MS sunk. I notice a transport sitting in Gibraltar with no fighter cover or AA. So the Italian air force springs into action.

What are these Russian units doing East of Moscow? My best guess is that they are Mech cadres waiting for an increase in Russian experience before they are brought up to strength.

FEBRUARY 14, 1941

4 MS and an escort sunk at a cost of 2 U-Boat hits.

The Germans finally close in on the last British outpost in Norway at Trondheim. It will be interesting to see if the British, run, reinforce, or hold. No matter what the Norwegian Campaign has been very costly for the Germans. I have lost over 300 production, not to mention probably delaying the arrival of this armour corps on the Eastern Front.

MARCH 14, 1941

Even with Trondheim captured the British still control hexes to block the Iron Ore Route. Oh well maybe I will get something next year.

It has been a very harsh winter in Europe with 6 consecutive turns of snow (including this one). It even snowed in Southern Italy for 2 or 3 turns. All of this means that most of my units are in the 60% to 70% effectiveness range. Accordingly, I doubt I will launch Barbarossa until the last May turn at the earliest and possibly not until the first June turn.

3 MS and an escort sunk and 1 U-Boat hit.

The iron ore route is finally open; just in time for the spring thaw.
