I've tried to contact him to thank him for his original idea but I don't know if he even still has a presence online, I didn't search very hard though.

I would recommend most scenarios by Prof. Mark Gellis. His scenarios tend to be small to moderate in size and well considered. A few of his I've enjoyed...

French Forces in the Gulf of Sidra, 1981
Biddles Team, 1981
Biddles Quandary, 1982
Four Ships near Demon Point, 1988
119 Squadron Makes a Little Noise, 2021
Plum Blossoms Do Not Fall Lightly, 2025
Thanks so much for the tip, he was actually the original creator of the scenario I posted above, I believe he originally made it for H3 but another user ported it over to Command.

I had so much fun with Black Moon Sailing and I'm excited to find out there are more from him and give them a shot.

Do you know if he is still active in the community? Does he still make scenarios?

I just played a scenario called Black Sea as I'm moving down the list of CSP scenarios sorted by difficulty, the creators name sounded familiar like I just read it and oddly enough it looks like you're the creator!

I was going to mention this scenario here because it was actually pretty great. It's incredibly immersive with the news reports and the fact that the scenario can go differently each time. It's also a modern conflict and not too complex. When things go hostile it can get difficult, but I never felt like I had no chance. For those looking for a realistic and immersive scenario using modern platforms vs an evenly matched adversary this mission is really great. The various news reports from different media sources, tweets, etc about the state of the situation was awesome. Super good job!

Kinda off topic but in regards to your scenario: Man, those Russian SAMS are brutal, I don't even know how you defend against those with air to be honest and no land cover to break LOS. I lost an E-3 stupidly, which I could have avoided by just setting it to min alt and terrain following north of the airbase that the 57th is based out of, which I did do with subsequent E-3 AEW flights and did not lose another one.

I lost one ship and worst of all I lost my entire F-15 squadron, and an E-3. I'm pretty sure I could do better on a subsequent playthrough and I will be giving this another shot in the future. I feel like maybe I should have left the F-15s grounded and not even try to fly them against the SAMS. As the creator of the scenario (and a veteran player) how would you handle your F-15s in this scenario with those Russian SAMS if/when things go hostile?

Also, I have a list of a few bugs in this scenario I can PM you with if you ever wanted to fix them up a bit and let Kushan know so he can update the scenario in the next CSP update.

I've been keeping a list of bugs I encounter and letting the scenario creator know when I can that way a new player like me who tries some of these lower complexity scenarios in the future can just jump right in and not have to worry about messing around with the mission editor while learning CMO.

Thanks again for this scenario and for those reading this I highly recommend, it's a fun scenario to play through in a night.

Sure, either PM me or start a thread on it. other may have some thoughts.

Prof. Gellis just designed a scenario recently so he was recently active.

As to the F-15s, one strategy is to sit at the edge of the SAM range and soak off missiles by darting in and out of engagement range. A bit gamey. Hard to stay low, especially over the water and you burn a lot of fuel but staying low and popping up as necessary. One issue is the "Engage Defensive" algorithm will turn on and you have to struggle to regain control of your aircraft. I think we're going to see an improvement to take algorithm for the better soon. There is a thread on it in Tech Support.

+1 I am currently playing his No Time for Mischief and enjoying it. I did Four Ships at Demon Point yesterday to get back into the swing of things. I highly recommend his scenarios.

Throwing down a recommendation for Tanker Wars. It's a really great Littoral mission using modern US Navy Littoral assets in the threat and operational environment they were designed for.

The scenario tasks you with taking your assets and breaking through an Iranian blockade, the difficulty is scaled almost perfectly for all skills levels and there's a few surprises in the scenario that I won't spoil.
