Play on version 41, losses from anti-aircraft guns should be less, first of all.

Second, do more testing. Bomb completely different targets with different planes, loading heights, in general, you need to understand what planes can do at all, at the moment, personally, in my games I see several not comforting conclusions.

German aircraft He-111 and Ju-88 do not have the necessary efficiency to work on ground troops. If I can understand why the He-111 is not effective in terms of troops, after all, this is a tactical bomber target for which these are railway nodes, stations, industry, expensive and other area targets. That's why the Ju-88 performs poorly is the question. He, like the Ju-87, was adapted for diving. Not sheer, of course, but this allowed him to successfully hit the artillery positions of the movement column, and other more difficult targets. I would strengthen the Ju-88 as an aircraft that can inflict losses on manpower, just like the Pe-2. And weakened the Soviet IL-2, increasing their losses from the OPS. It was a rather difficult aircraft to control in the air, prone to stalling at low altitudes due to poor design and heavy weight.
The target for the He-111 should be Soviet logistics, airfields, railway tracks. And I advise you to use them in this vein, Ju-88 is more versatile. It should be good for both what 111s are good for and what Ju-87s are good for, but less effective than the Ju-87 and He-111.
Compared to the 111, its load is less, as is its range, although this is literally a difference by some 500kg of bomb load.
But the accuracy compared to 87 should probably be 3 times lower.

What would I recommend changing? Departures of 6-9 He-111 aircraft, on the ground, should lead to 1-2 approximately 1-10-30 people killed, hitting at least something if the pilots seek the opportunity to carry out an attack, and not go to interdict.
Ju-88s can already more consistently knock out 30-50 people, all other things being equal, due to the ability to dive.

@K62: Agreed.
@Zovs: Doing something with the air war is not difficult. Getting it to a good multiplayer standard is and I think thats what K62 isnreferring to here. He obviously is a very competent (air war) player but dislikes the time investment.

Say you play chess and like to analyze positions etc.
But by doing crosswords for 2hrs per turn your pawns can move 2 tiles instead of one. Against an equal opponent that practically guarantees your win, but you have to accept a lot of tedious work.

I think I look at the tedious work of the air war in WITW and WITE2 as a wonderful game within the game. It does slow down the turn rate a bit, but I’d rather manage the air, ground and logistics myself. I can do a much better job of it then the AI. It just takes time, patience and study and to me it’s a mini game and I love it.

you need to play as a Soviets with constant rotation of low exp pilots, since pilots can not train on the map, and flying low exp pilots is suicide
and such micromanaging will be a nightmare after a couple of pvp games

rare moment where Axis has advantage over a Soviets
