John 3rd's new site has the same problem:

I sent him a pm, but he had not read it

Are you in contact with him?

Definitely better... I actually can see the files now. Thanks Brian.

Hopefully, John the 3rd sees this... His Reluctant Admiral Site has/had the same issue.

I think I have found they way to unlock any files that are restricted - that I couldn't unlock before.
If you cannot download what you see, send a request for access through the website. Then I get notified and it allows me to respond and I can successfully get it unlocked to anyone with the link.

Thanks for being patient.

Google closed my original site in February this year, and I was forced to transfer to a new format that Google offered.

I thought it was going ok, I sent the updated link to a few friends and asked them if it worked, which they responded that it did, so I thought all was ok.

Now I read there are problems.

I'll try to resolve - but unsure how to proceed...I'm not a web designer

The new website is: https://sites.google.com/view/bigbsshipyard
Same thing happened with my RA Web Site and it is totally screwed. Need to completely begin again.

Glad to see Posting Mister BIG B! 8-)

Hi John, it seems the Reluctant Admiral website has some issues, the download part to Google Drive says "You need access"

Any chance to get permission to see the files so I can play this scenario?

Two things.

I can see the site but can't see anything to download anything unless I have a google account.

I do fortunately but don't use it often. Jowever even if I do log in I still cannot access the file. Google is supposed to send me an email telling me I have access to them??? If you have shared them correctly why would I need an email telling me so, just seeing them should be enough. Whatever I'm not getting an email.

Google ^$^*%$$$$£^%£^.

This is the link to his site and it works because he updated to the new Google sites policy.
