This has to be on the Mac end then. Mac is something I know nothing about.

If you are only playing games on windows then you can disable the firewall and run the game as admin. But I think on your Mac side or the Parallels side that is possibly causing the problem. Did you have some recent upgrade?

Google running parallels with windows games and accessing internet. Or post on the main forum to see if another Mac user replies.

If you are uploading and it gets stuck on the main screen without errors in the log then the upload is being stopped somewhere.

Indeed, it is a possibility.

I am still trying to understand why the game worked fine for a while, then failed, then worked again, then failed again to upload end of turn files... all other thing being quite unchanged.

I will try to get access to a windows PC ASAP, install Warplan and try to resume my games.

Let me ask Hubert from Fury Software. He might have some insight.

My post on how to navigate around Windows works so this is something else.

I did finally put my hands on a windows laptop, installed Warplan and upgraded to v1.00.25.

Somehow the game works fine and upload turns smoothly, even without fine tuning firewall rules (at least for one day).

I am still interested on a solution to play Warplan on a Mac / windows 11 virtual machine as it is not so convenient to travel with 2 laptops…

Here is the deal. Mac users are a tiny part of who buys my games. It would take a lot of work to educate myself on macs to make a specific build for it and support it. When I make a new build I have to make 2 versions already for Steam. With Mac I'd have to make 4. Making these builds is pretty time consuming.

So just like a business I have to weight the time and reward.

Also check Parallels. It might have some internal mechanism that is blocking it.

I understand that Mac users are quite a niche market, making any development effort less than profitable.

Therefore, I purchased a windows 11 laptop, mostly for the purpose of playing Warplan. Had to lie to wife, but as I keep my bluffing frequency very low, this one got through ;)

After about 2 weeks of playing Warplan smoothly, I am again confronted to the same bug as before, namely, unable to upload finished turns. After the "logging succesfull" prompt, the game kind of freezes. Nothing happens, and no coming back to the game lobby as it should. This bug started with a 10% occurence, then 20% and then more, now it's 100%.

For the record, I did set the fire wall inbound and outbound rules, and allowing App setting as you explained.

Sorry to bother you but I am stuck and unable to play my all time favorite game
