I played a whole campaign under 11.27 with the Y/N keyboard interface in place. I hated it at first but with time just got used to it and my distaste for it kinda dulled to indifference. It's not a deal breaker for me anymore at this point.

However, I am curious as to where the advocates for this change are. More than a few players must have wanted it badly enough to warrant such a UI change. Seems to be quiet on that end.

Similar to above I've played a couple campaigns with the Y/N on 11.27. I thought I'd never get past that or used to it. Well it took me a few weeks or months. It's second nature now. I can't even remember the muscle memory for how it was done before.

I like it, I got frustrated many times when I accidentally disbanded a TF. I would not start doing the entire turn all over again nor save it more frequently either. Early on when PPs are scarce, you need those few PPs to help save units as the Allied player or as the Japanese player to free up some smaller units in Manchukuo. Later, if you want to convert bombers to Nick units, that also requires PPs.

For the people complaining about it now, where were you when this was suggested? This could have been included in a setting to toggle on and off but I doubt if that would happen now.

I don't mind the toggle, but I see no reason for the confirmation screen to require a keyboard input. Do you really need that extra failsafe to prevent you from making a mistake?

Others had already posted about it, and so no need to do anything. I never saw any kind of poll!

I disband so many task forces all the time and have NEVER accidentally disbanded one and cared any. However over 99% of them have never assigned a leader. Now I get punished that I have to go thru a useless pop-up every single time disbanding on a game that is already sooo many clicks.

This 100%. At bases with high traffic like Pearl or Sydney in my Allies game, I disband TFs one by one there all the times. I would just sit back in my gaming chair, relaxing while clicking on the Disband TF button with my right hand, one after another freely. With my left hand free to do whatever I want 8-) . It was so relaxing. Now, I’m forced to get up from my chair and use both hands just to disband a bunch of unimportant TFs. As I’ve mentioned before, this feels like a step backward in UI design. Please give us the option to have this Y/N pop up On or Off in the games settings. Or better yet, have it removed completely. Or at the very least-

^ (this 100% also)

-If it's too late to remove this Y/N prompt (which I sincerely hope isn’t the case), could you guys at least let us click on the prompt with our mouse?

I am totally indifferent to the whole Y/N thing, since I play against the AI.

I just installed this latest version without any problem and pressing Y/N doesn't bother me in any way.
Congratulations to all modders.

It doesn't affect me. It is a complete non-issue for me. What good is a great, hand-picked TF leader, if a Kate torpedo bomber, armed with bombs, can put a 500 lb bomb through a smokestack of maneuvering CL Boise from 18k feet in Heavy Rain weather?

I think we should all be grateful that this game is still being supported for FREE and stop complaining so much.

I have suspicion that TBs using bombs will drop low, even though it does not show in combat report. They are uncannily accurate.

They are also carrying more than one bomb unless it is the 800 kg bomb, they might be sending them one at a time just like the B-17s would sometimes drop them.

I usually only use bombs on torpedo bombers for airfield/ground attack. When attack naval/port I always equip them with torpedos.

I guess according to the manual after December 7th, 1941 torpedo bombers will only rarely drop torpedoes in port attacks. After that everybody wises up and gets netted up. Not sure what the percentage is. Must be small because I can't recall it happening much.
Bombers attacking ports will attack any ships at anchor 50% of the time, however, TF’s docked in port will not be
attacked. These attacks use bombs with only a small percentage of torpedo bombers using torpedoes (as it is assumed
these ships may be in dry dock or protected by torpedo nets).

What platoonist said.

Apart from the first turn when specially apdated torpedoes were used, torpedoes are rarely used in port attacks, I'd go as far a never despite what the manual says. Set a TB to port attack and leave loadout as torp and watch. Setting AF/port/Ground attack automatically loads a TB with bombs therefore you only need to force the change if you want your TB to bomb a TF. I have one question that I've never sorted and that is when you set a secondary mission to port attack. I'm assuming it also loads bombs as torps can't be used against a port.

The extract qouted by Platoonist is about stikes set to port attack and the possiblity they will attack ships anchored in the port. TF will never be targetted.
