Wild Bill, I've been away from the computer for a few days and was sad to learn of your retirement.
As was said above we will all miss your great wealth of information, and friendship. Though I have only emailed you a few times, I saw you as a helpful friend. I hope you enjoy your retirement, and will be back often. Semper Fi my friend!

Bill:

I just read your post and I am sorry that I did not see it sooner. Congratulations on your retirement. I hope that you enjoy it as much as I am enjoying mine. I retired at the end of June and like you, I am doing some consulting work in my former occupation and on top of that, my wife has kept me pretty busy with all of the new projects that she comes up with.

In the first two months of my retirement, I worked harder at home then I did in the last ten years of my professional career. Thank god, that some consulting work came along so that I could get a rest.

Anyway enjoy yourself and thanks for all the assistance that you have given me over the years.

If you ever get to the Melbourne Florida area, I would love to meet with you.

Wild Bill, your efforts have been tireless and highly rewarding.

I hope you continue to grace these forums, to continue to write those great articles, and to continue to design the odd scenario from time-to-time.

You are certainly a major force within the wargaming community, and your voluminous efforts will be missed.

Wild Bill,

I have enjoyed many of your excellent scenarios for Steel Panthers: World At War, and while it is certainly bad news to have you (semi-)retire from Matrix Games, it is well deserved!

On the other hand, old habits die hard, and I could almost bet one of my mothers chocolate-chip cookies that it won't be long before you are back aboard again in some form. Here's to the retirement being more of an extended holiday...enjoy it while it lasts! <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

I'll take one of those chocolate-chips, Fredrik! Anytime.

Thanks, Sven and all of you for these warm words that do an old body good at this time in life.

We'll keep on keepin' on, I promise!
