Empires in Arms is the computer version of Australian Design Group classic board game. Empires in Arms is a seven player game of grand strategy set during the Napoleonic period of 1805-1815. The unit scale is corps level with full diplomatic options

A&A and EiA haven't got anything important in common! EiA is about diplomacy - that's where the AI will have serious problems competing with humans. A&A is a locked situation, it's not like Russia suddenly swaps sides... Written diplomacy would take - a long time -, so 7 players would have to meet regularly (once a week, 6 hours) for the better part of a year...

Playing PBEM-EiA, diplomacy must have time and real writing, I fear it might come down to diplomacy by multiple choices - yuk! - to make it work online.... This is very likely what will happen with AI players anyway...

So, my guess is, PBEM is the only way to play real EiA by PC, possibly 1 or 2 players by AI ...everything else might work, but it should have another name then...
