CW gets 12 surprise points (9 rolled), and use 8 to increase damage done. Remaining points are used to åut the D on the CP.

Re: Escape from the Wildfire (4-player game).
Land actions for Germany and Japan, combined for Italy.
No naval air or naval moves.
Rail moves: Japan rails the marine units from Pusan into Haichow and city next to Chinese garrison.
Germany moves some units west, others to Danish border and the attack on Lodz. Japan sends units into the desert west of the Communist Chinese forces in the mountains. Others move Southwest from Manchuria.
By my calculations, the below attack should be automatic. The game is giving a -1 for city, but the Germans are attacking with two HQ and an engineer (who is using its full benefit in the attack across the river), which should nullify the city modifiers entirely (-3 for city plus two factories). If I'm wrong about this, I will come back and redo this attack with some alterations to protect the engineer from being a possible loss.

Re: Escape from the Wildfire (4-player game).
Jason, w/assault on Lodz. My understanding is that the HQs attacking negate the city bonus only. Doesn't matter how many HQs. They only negate -1. Each eng factor negates either the city or 1 factory. Since the city was negated already, the eng 1 factor negated 1 factory leaving the second factory or -1.

Thanks for weighing in on this Ronnie. I think you are correct. I will redo that attack and possible air support for it.

Re: Escape from the Wildfire (4-player game).
Redid a few land moves. Used Von Leeb in attack instead of Rundstedt and used his HQ support.
Now it's legitimately auto.
