It's about 350,000. :) I've been steadily gaining money, though, and the team's got something like 4 or 5 million at this point. I haven't fought any battles lately that resulted in a negative net, so no worries.

Fine. Sleeping Dragon and Tarendelcymir are the finalists for the ultimate duel.

I suggest special squads with 750.000 $ and 888 dev points. Leaders/managers are limited to 70% max leadership/business skill. All jocks have to fight. Marga will do the final rules of course.

I finished the metaborator campaign yesterday nite: Marga did surely a great job :-)
I had to try 2 times before passing the last mission (the first time I had to retire the squad). None of my pilot died, but 3 titans was disabled (2 heavy and an assault model).
I won the Expurgator (typed the right name?) from Mj.Rubatskjn (?).
Now I will try the mission pack against the ACEs.

Meg :)

So you mean I can't use the same squad I beat the Metaborate with? Heh heh, just kidding.

ACK!!!! I'm outnumbered!.. I'd have to rename my jocks something like Davie Crokett and Jim Bowie ;)

Larkin's guidelines sound good... any paticular terrian or random? Do you want to wait a couple more days and see if we can get 1 more and have a 4 person tourney and let Megrez play? Maybe till the patch is released.

Wasn't the contest going to be decided by who posted their screenshots first?

That's fine by me.

It was originally, but then I think they decided to give some time for other people to try it, in the interest of fairness as far as some people getting WS before others and such.

Your right, that was our intention.

If everybody agrees I suggest to take Larkins rules for the final tournament, I think they'll fit to this issue. As soon as 4 player have sent in their prove of having finished c3m7 the tournament may start. In this constellation there are different scenarios for a tournament possible, e.g. 2 player in a team against 2 player in the other team, then afterwards a one on one tournament between the 2 players of the winning team. Or a classic all against all tournament... suggestions?

Anything tourney style is good by me as long as my internet connection is working good that day (There's a buggy relay somewhere in the phone lines for my DSL they can't track down.. or so they say.. one day its fine the next I get disconnected every 5 miniutes:mad:, it's been good the last month except for 3-4 days end of last week, early this week, seems better now, fingers-crossed). Probably wouldn't matter anyway.. I'd be dead by then.. my internet games I can count on one hand, but if ya'll play just like the AI, I might have a chance.. hehehe:D

Hey Megrez can you post a victory screen? I'd be interested to see what you took into the final battle. and btw.. congrates:)

Map suggestions

Post by rosary »

I think 2 vs 2 using one of the multiplayer maps. I know that Battle of Banjee and The Horror are pretty even in terrain giving no specific advantages or disadvantages.

Far Dogtown would be a nice 1 vs 1 with its High Noon style showdown theme. It is also has evenly matched terrain.

Those are my map suggestions.

Seems logical to me that the winner should be the person that beat it with the least "resources" (rank, tonnage).
This could also lead to another challenge. Trying to beat Bblue's setup - using lower tonnage and/or ranks. The person that manages to beat the map with the lowest resources gets to have a go with the Metaborator
