It doesn't seem that transferring the air groups to land bases is, per se, the problem. Strange, Hallowe'en things start happening when the groups are fragmented and bits and pieces wind up both on carriers and land bases.Mogami wrote:Hi, I land base the CV airgroups in every scenario 19 I play. I do leave one SBD group on it's CV because this group has 2 reserve aircraft (18 ready 0 damaged 2 reserve) and this leaves 2 ac behind and I'm not going to risk it.
Other then that the airgroups and CV have not given me a problem.
That's why I said (above) that I try to keep air groups that originated on CVs (1) together in one place and (2) on board the carrier whenever possible.
This tends to minimalize my use of CV air groups, but maximalizes my avoidance of the "ghost unit" problem. (Hey, how am I doing? Am I gettin' schizzy wit' da minimax nizzy yet?)
