I take it we'll have to go direct IP?? If that's the case, you better give me a way to find you (once again) and cross our fingers after setting up a time.

I installed the gamespy arcade thingy, go by the name of PsychoBob if you see me in the Hidden & Dangerous room.
Can also try doing it by direct ip, if anybody is interested, could send my messenger email by private message.

Yeah RB my ICQ is 136658470.

If Gamespy still has it, that would be the easiest way to go though.

I have a buddy downloading it tonight and I think we're going to play it after he gets it all set up tonight. If not we'll do it tomorrow (Sunday). Check Gamespy guys and see if we're in the H&D room. A 4 player coop would be cool.

If you like "1" you'll LOVE "2" :D

The lack of co-op might not be such a problem after all. One of the MP modes does allow you to team-play the SP missions against human opponents, with the Axis side getting their own objectives to complete (usually, stopping the Allies doing what there are supposed to be doing).

MP is a blast - think DoD or MoH with more realism and much better graphs.

Hey I played it and didn't "hate" it eh.

Can anyone here actually think of a more "unlikely" fan than me?

Sure I only played it for a few minutes the other day, but hmm I didn't instantly hate it either.

My hardcore shooter friendly didn't like the controls, maybe other games out there have "better" controls, but I didn't "hate" the controls.

And remember I have next to no skill in these games, so it has to have some value.
If H&D2 improves on what I saw, it might be worth a more careful assessment.

I went through the start up process letting the computer do as much "auto" stuff as possible. I just didn't want to waste time learning the perfect choices.
Frankly, if a game doesn't lose me in the set up interface I am already impressed.

I thought the graphics were nice, I have sure seen worse.
I LIKE that my life bothers them,
Why should I be the only one bothered by it eh.

Try http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/451072.asp

Four up so far, with an average of 81%. Doesn't mean a lot as two are 90s and two low 70s !! One of those was Gamespot (7.3), but their reader reviews currently average 8.7 - yer pays yer money an takes yer choice :D

Actually, more or less everybody agrees it's a very good game.. the discrepancy seems to depend on how many bugs were experienced, how much bugs influence the score, and varying perceptions on the quality of the team AI, which seem to arise from an individuals playing style as much as anything. There are bugs, but nothing resembling a showstopper, and a patch has been announced (for maybe as early as the end of the week).

My personal take... I really am totally baffled why Call of Duty gets so much coverage even at sites like this, while H&D 2 hardly gets a mention. Just hype I guess. I've played both CoD demos now... a good, possibly very good formula shooter, but one I'd be bored of in a few hours, just like Medal of Honour. H&D 2 is different class IMHO, with a real WW2 feel.... although perhaps it's unfair to comment with seeing the CoD final release. I won't be getting though, not with H&D 2 and upcoming expansions for Vietcong and Raven Shield - I'd just never play it.

GamesDomain's review rates it at 4.5/5, with a "top game" award. See above for details.
