Normandy Version

Korsun Pocket is a the second game using the award winning SSG Decisive Battles game engine. Korsun Pocket recreates the desperate German attempt to escape encirclement on the Russian Front early in 1944. The battle is a tense and exciting struggle, with neither side having a decisive advantage, as the Russians struggle to form the pocket, then try to resist successive German rescue efforts and last ditch attempts at breakout.

carpet bombing..

There is a rumour going around at the moment that the carpet bombing icon is that of a carpet....

<ducks>

Yes, that's right, we've gone crazy, crazy, crazy over here at the SSG Carpet Emporium, and we're just chucking our carpets out of bomb bays. You'll be crazy too if you don't take advantage of these low, low prices. Just stand as close as possible to the Panzer Lehr (or alternatively, some Canadians) and one of our bombers will be with you shortly.

I tell you just when you think you can make a reasonable map, Steve F comes out with something like Normandy [:(] How good is that bocage [&o]

I am testing as we speak and I am awestruck by this game. Trying to select which ship to attack which fort is causing me to lose sleep. I need to destroy fort x so that the 1st Infantry can land a bit easier, but that Battleship is needed to assist the Utah landings [:(] Of course I could move a couple of Cruisers over from Sword but I think that unit I haven't identified may just be a 352nd Infantry (those Eastern Front swines!) so I need the crusiers to slow them down. What to do, what to do?

Is there a maximum number of ships that can attack a fort?

So long as you have few Stuarts I am sure I can put up a defense [:D]

If the can reach it with their guns they can attack it Joe. But let me say if it takes too many ships to destroy one fort then your entire plan can be ruined [X(]
