too tough??

heh, i've found myself reminiscing back to the days of SP-1 where the jeeps had just a smattering of armor protection on the front grill so could at least deflect some small arms fire.

Now, everytime i poke the nose of my jeep out in hopes of mowing down some impetious inf units i either eat a PaK or a bullet hits my radiator putting me out of commission!!!

Now i just hide them till the shooting stops and the smoke clears :D

Jeeps? What jeeps?!? I'm having to manuevre my PzIIIE to get rear shots at Mae Wests... while they sucefull shot at my little PzIs and Pz 35s (Pzs IIIE were a little far, but I guess that those 50cal will call it butter...).... and I thought I was lucky to get USA in 39 for a campaign 39-49...

I think something should have wrong in the download - I didn't manage to get a good campaign running!!...

Just my 2cents worth, while its still fresh in my mind. Just got finished a multiplayer game, Ge vs US, 5/45. I (german) riddled a 50cal jeep at about 10 hexes away with a quad 20mm AA gun, hit 5 times before it blew. 5 times! The jeep wasn't moving or dug in. Now I could see getting shot by a MG34, but a quad 20mm? In the same turn a M3 Halftrack took 4 hits from a 88mm/71 AT gun before it blew.

i guess my main gripe (and from what ive read its a mute point now) is that ANY thinly armored vehicle be it jeep or truck what ever nationality should be toasted when running a muck through enemy lines....that was my point...........sometimes these threads take on a life of there own......kind of on the same note motorcycles seem to melt away fairly easy, which they should . usually a couple shots from almost anything will do the trick , which to me is right. no protection .....pay the price. with v5 sounds like one must put together better recon teams other then the cheapest vehicles.....
