Eric,

There is code in there for an AI controlled side to surrender if it deems it to be hopeless. It's always a fine balance though trying to work out when and when not to, especially when the AI has to use it's own imperfect intel.

I've had several on HTTR although not as often as I used to get with RDOA[;)] I have to admit that I've come to regard anything less than a 'Decisive' victory with disdain[:)] - at least against the AI anyway[;)]. I was sitting there watching 30 Corps chewing up enemy units mentally screaming 'Surrender you b****rds'[:D]

Surrenders don't seem to happen all that frequently by the AI. In a couple of years of play, I've only seen maybe 3-5 surrender offers by the AI, but I have had many decisive victories with some brutal kill ratios of the enemy.

Truth be told, I never accept the AI's surrender anyway. I feel I owe it some payback for all the ego bashing I took when I first started playing. :)

Well I'm glad I posted the question, got lots of useful info, thanks all. More so than any of the other scenarios I've played, the winometer in this one is deceptive, and I obviously planned too much of my play on it. Live and learn. I'm downloading the strat guide, so Ill post again when I get my decisive victory!
