Thoughts on Realism?

Panther Games' Highway to the Reich revolutionizes wargaming with its pausable, continuous time game play and advanced artificial intelligence. Command like a real General, under real time pressures to achieve real objectives on a real map all within the fog of war. Issue orders to your powerful AI controlled subordinates or take total control of every unit. Fight the world's most advanced AI opponent or match wits against your friends online or over a LAN. Highway to the Reich covers all four battles from Operation Market Garden, including Arnhem, Nijmegen, Eindhoven and the 30th Corps breakout from Neerpelt.

As you said, there are somethings that AI won't never replace, human emotions. The simple thing of commenting your battle with your opponent or he making laught of your commanding "habilities"

Anyway, there will always be a place for H2H play as long as humans have egos. Also, in simulated combat (I've done a lot of flying online), emotional state and psychology can play a very large role in the process ... only playing against a human can offer that.

That's exactly what I mean. Sure, a computer can beat you at chess only because it can store more combinations and react accordingly, as soon as a human tries a new movement the computer is buggered. Playing vs human mean not only playing against a brain, but also against emotions, you have to take that into account too. Humans make decisions sometimes based on emotions, not reasoning, and a good commander knows what emotions provoke particular actions. Warfare is not only about tactics and pure logic, it's also about knowing human nature.
