Haven't your carriers run out of their preparation/carrier points yet? You don't want to catch up to Enterprise and find that your planes won't launch. (Or am I misunderstanding the function of the carrier readiness points?)

Enterprise was sighted rounding North to get back to San Francisco, I've detached Soryu and Hiryu to nail her.

Haven't your carriers run out of their preparation/carrier points yet? You don't want to catch up to Enterprise and find that your planes won't launch. (Or am I misunderstanding the function of the carrier readiness points?)

Soryu and Hiryu were stood down after the 2nd day of strikes and detached specifically to deal with retaliatory USN strikes. That TF is my "HK" Group. A quick check shows Soryu out of ordinance and Hiryu with about 2 strike worth left. So Soryu will scout and provide CAP and Hiryu will strike.

FoW is on, but I had spotted Big E, though I wasn't close enough to engage. After several turns of not engaging and beyond the search arcs of the US patrol planes, I knew something funky was up. Sure enough, every turn I checked the US side, and Big E was consistantly moving away from my unspotted CVs.

Just as in the war, sometimes you can be spotted without knowing it. This is likely what happened to me. I will start up the game again, as I was off testing something I thought was a bug in a different game, but was more likely an AI vs AI issue.
