A little history lesson for Lester's fan Club:

At the Wargamer fourm some time ago, Les was allowed to moderate the "Modeller's forum". Nothing else, just the modeller's forum. Unfortuantely, in that capacity, he was able to use the moderator's functions on all the Wargamer forums.

Les started out by secretly editing other people's posts at the Wargamer forum to make them look foolish. Sort of like if a moderator here should edit one of your posts to make it appear you had announced you were a gay child molester. For a while, it was a mystery how this was occuring.

Then, the Wargamer NAMB forum being a self policing affair like the old Matrix AoW, Sulla and Vickevlar went long periods without ever checking it out. Les then appointed himself moderator and began deleting posts willy nilly. People would visit that board and find dozens of posts mysteriously missing. This went on for a while, and emboldened that he had gotten away with it, Lester came out of the closet and announced that from now on, the Wargamer was his forum, and he was going to run it anyway he saw fit.

He then began to delete entire threads, as well as any posts questioning his God like ablility as moderator. War commenced. Since he was a moderator and not an Administrer, he could not ban anyone.
Only persons allowed access to the Administrator functions could do that.

He then began to threaten everyone but his few buddies with banning.
In his arrogance, he made the mistake of contacting Sulla, and demanding that Sulla carry through on his threats. Sulla, finally realizing what was happening, relieved Lester of his moderator duties

That's why Les the Sarge is despised by so many of the Wargamer alumni.
[&o]............ bet we wont see him jump in on this thread........... [;)]

No he won't, because he knows every word of the above is true. There's to many witnesses to his brief reign of terror for him to deny it.

Juxst to set the record straight here.

As far as I am aware Les did not alter any posts etc. He did delete some posts and after dicussing things with me, we decided it would be better to have Les in a less prominent role.

Given the fact that this happened months ago and not even on this forum, why bring it up now? Fine you want to discuss and chat the ok, no problems at all but lets not did up the past, everyone has made misguded posts or posted things they later felt to be wrong.

Lets steer away from past errors and get on with things now.

How diplomatic of you Shaun.

Of course there is no "proof" that Les altered any posts as he went back and deleted them. As for it being "in the past" it is currently a topic for discussion in the SPWaW and other forums where Lester is giving his own twisted version of history.

Lester has more than earned the animostiy directed at him. In spades. I'm just setting the record straight. And that is the straight version. You know it; I know it; and Lester knows it. It's getting a bit wearisome seeing Lester portray himself as the poor innocent victim.

Enough is enough, Les and is fanboys are baiting the mods and any forum member that dare's to disagree with his or there point of view. He jumps in on threads and baits anyone and everone. The issue at Wargamer that Doggie broght up is FACT and all you have to do is go over there and ask to find out the truth , Vic just call a duck a duck so what. Les has stated how he does not give a crap about matrix forums but still he is allowed to jump in on any thread and troll. Now if anyone jumps on him or the issue that he STARTED their told its not their fight and to move on. Ok but what about next week when were told once agian that the wargames we support and enjoy are crap and totally unrealistic. Don't jump on Les the wargaming god with his many years of experience. Good luck

let the past bury the past

Gentlemen:

You are all worthy of respect and understanding.

So let the past bury the past. . .

Instead, let us strive to rise above the fray, and in so doing, it may allow us to clear our minds, to refresh our bodies, and to help us to tap into the "better angels of our nature". . .

You mean until Lester brings up his "martyrdom" again?[8|]

This aint the first time Lester has vowed to ride off into the sunset, never to return, only to sneak his little messianic fantasies into other threads, along with some reminders about what a wonderfull guy he is and how we should all be gratefull for his enourmous contributions to our community. I mean without Les, we would not have a "Hall of Heroes."[8|] Why. Les is an Icon in the wargaming community; just ask him, he'll tell ya. Look at his sig-line on the SPaW forum - "Don't put me on a pedestal."[8|] Nobody put you there, Lester, you climbed up there all by yourself.

I notice Lester's few fans don't object to his soliliquies on his cruel persecution; just the replies from people who know the truth.

And 'Sarge", you seem to have the advantage of me. Who did I know you as at the Wargamer?

Just for the record..Im not a fan of Les, Im a fan of SPWAW. Whatever Les did or did not do dosnt matter. The fact is a good thread got trashed because of some poorly worded replies. When that happens we all lose. Les can come across as crass and elitist sometimes but that human nature. How can we truly judge who we are by typed text? PErsonally I never came here to make friends I came here because like all of us i love wargaming.matrix games and spwaw. I hope we can all recall this amd get on to good times and shared information.

Does it all really matter?

I think we are all diminished if even a single person is silenced.

Personally, I think you all have some valid points, comments and views. While not everyone may agree with those views, at least we should give respect to other people.

And where does it all begin?

With ourselves. . .
