i wrote an alternate history on the attack on pearl harbor a couple of months back and i had tora, tora, tora, in harms way, death of the arizona, couple of pearl harbor history channel dvds playing on my laptop while i wrote on my desktop.

how bad did it get? when i was stationed in germany in the mid 70's the choice of alcohol to consume during an evening of wargaming depended on what nationality you were playing (and us ships were NOT dry in our games). how is that for anal.
If the little things annoy you, maybe that's because the big things are going well.

Well done, PBY. Too much soap in the movie for my taste. But, I do love the way Douglas delivers that line...

Waynec got it first. But I agree about the soap.

No Wayne, you mean "how good did it get" don't you? [;)]
Those were indeed the days... did all the same things!

Cheers!

Hello...

I concur on "Midway" and "Pearl Harbor". I liked the romantic sub-plot in "In Harm's Way".

Maggie Hanes was hot...

Midway was good, but not as good as TTT. I hated the romantic subplot. Romantic subplots in war movies always seem fake.

"Pearl Harbor" nearly made me throw up; it felt like a tarnish on the memory of that day, I mean in the context of all that treachery and death and destruction who REALLY CARES if some chick gets knocked up and can't decide who she wants the daddy to be?
