I am still trying to get screen shots.. argh, Frag has sent me to a sight that may help, so you are not getting My ph bb's being attacked at Rabaul, lots of dead and dying kates and nells, and his surface bombard tf fled. I just may hold Rabaul, but at what cost??...
3 bb's torped ouchie.. needed cap that did not exist. I was hoping to bushwack some ap/aka unloading supplies there.. oops, who is bushwacking whom?

In Bornoe the IJN air attacked my pts fleeing Brunia, not mira as reported above. and strafing one of these guys to bits and pieces. The Brits bb force attacked at Taraken, but the supperior leadership skills saved the outgunned JAps,In a daylight combat
my forces 6 dd, 6cl, 1 ca 2bb 1 bc
JAps, 2ca, 3dd, 2bb. One dd damaged for myself, light damage for the JAps... hopefully the next attack will see my ships lunch torps. and get hits.
Soon they will be dead.

More b 17s flood into the SEA theatre...
too bad Port Morsby b17s cannot hit Truk.
I set my long rang assets in Borneo from navel attack, they just do not seem affective, to oil attack agains miri/bruni.. and Hanoi continues to be a target for my strategic air corp/China[:D]

PI and China are slowly seeing Jap buildup...
Maly is quite, for now...

and more

After this pounding the invasion sfleet pulls away, my damaged BB from last turn have limped away, and then a strong tf of CA and BB shows up, but my BB's are leaving, so we miss a conclusive bb vs bb engagement by a hours...

K continues to asail helpless ships, sinking two raiders I was trying to sneak into his convoy routes in the South China Sea, bubble bubble.. two dds
Overall I am happy the BB's made an impressive show of force, and if I had a few more assetts, especially fighter cover I would feel better in Rabaul..

I even got a b17 hit on a ak... lucky or fow?
Wake remains a sore point for K, he has not re-attacked since the early game pounding I gave him,but I expect a strong attack soon. China is a Japanese paradise currently but, I have those two southern cities and air assets are on the way, only problem is that they have low base support... I need to teach those guys how to fix US planes.

Freeboy's B17s in Naning have been hit on the ground, and are not expected to fly in the near future.
The pieces are set in the PI for their liberation and incorporation into the great co-prosperity sphere.

As one can see above K has problems in Southestern China, although my b17 are grounded for now. The brits control the Seas off Borneo, at least until a scarrier is seen.
LAst turn, one was spotted near Rabual, but fled as he know I have air assetts there. Fortunatly the 6 big carriers are long gone from Japaneese waters. How long? not long enough, thats for sure. and Kaleun has already started basing Betties out of hit air fields in the PI. They are scary, glad they are very fragile, imagine a b29 that could drop torps in 41 for the japs? I shudder, pulling myself back to reality I have three partially beat up BB, 5 solid slow BB's and three Brit BB's and air cover in the Northern OZ area.
Air assets will build up, but I really need some good troops, but don't know exactly what to do to stop the flood? Any thoughts out there regarding lcu and placement. I have several units that can be placed... try to hold Rabaul, seems like a lost cause until better air comes out, but it could be done. Move troops into Borneo and fight like hell to keep it and those air bases which would threaten DEI oil supplies. Move troops into DEI?.. that treally looks hopeless as soon as K takes out MAly?

All suggestions welcom.. to either sided[:D]

Allied air power continues to build up toward the front lines, sorry no details due to security concerns[:D]
In Borneo the JAp invasion fleet turns and flees Eastern Borneo, and Rabual looks like a stalmate.... I am looking at supporting this area but am weary of the Feb to June time frame without good air cover..
Maly area is a slow cooker as are both China and PI.
Most of my plane have left PI, no use letting them get destroyed on the ground.

So the BB's can be used early in the war effectively.... time to punish K's fleets and try not to get any large ships torpedoed by lba...
Did I say how much I hate Betties in 41? as the Allied commander?

Rabaul took a pounding today 12 24 41 as a fleat of ships 12-15 strong including several BB's punished my airfields...
Several US made torps found their targets but failed to detonate[:@]
I was taking a screan shot and oops, finished my turn but you'll hopefully see the results next posting 12 25 41 of some of these choiceschioces, the censor keeps me from devulging all the details but lets just say these Jap fleets are soon to be at the bottum ofthe sea...
I just now realized all the oil that is at these bases.. oops.. you have to dig into the base screen to see it, and now have mobilized operation " clean the oil out" hopefull leaving little left for his Emperial ass-etts[:-]

Where are those CV's ? I expect them to show up soon probably around Borneo launching against those bases and air ... we will see

One can see above my oil transport fleet sinking ofMoulmein, K did getthem, but I felt obligated to try to decrease his future assets in oil
And in Daveo he took a spanking... Bubble bubble[:-]
Did Choikai sink? if not it will soon... unless the cv appear and I run away and hide....

Not much else happening, but these two tf intercepts show just how difficult life is to expand without proper air cover..... This is Two invasion forces intercepted by POW without much effort... soon theose CV's of his must show up???

K keeps atttacking Rabaul, I wish it was June and I'd kick his ass off, but he might just do that to me instead there....

I solidly hold Souther and Eastern Borneo, and thats gotta hurt... daily raids on his oil.. and soon I;ll be adding more air assets to DEA...
I could use two or three divisions from Africa to help in India and Burma... But Churchill has denied my plees for greater assetts, rumors abound that POW my get recalled as things aren't so happy now in the Atlantic....

K's is special, in a unique way.. ok special K I'm goin to eat your forces for breakfast

In the Coral Sea, we traded.. um lets see, no hits for your side and ?? for mine... at least some... Time to bring on some powerful units...
In the Daveo Borneo area, Jap BB;s shell Western Kuching base, inflicting minor damage.
The invasion fleet flees, leaving two dead ships, see above...
In Coral see the JAps have an action group of ? reports of BB's, I think it is a CA BB and AK AP group headed for trouble, but maybe not....
and his cvl is oops, without air cover as my lying fighter jocks claimed to have shot down more kates and oscars than it can carry...[:-]
China is a slow cooker MAly is stalled out for K's forces.... he has troops, but those ships keep getting pecked away by subs and small air attacks....
DEI[&o] forever!!!!!

K tries to land with success in Far Eastern Indonesia, we will see... that base is tooo close to Palue and possibly his CV's, which are freighteningly absent.

See pix, k now took two hugely important airstrips... even though the landing where contested by sea due to my complete inability to get units there, and not really wanting too

Now he can support landing on Borneo and other areas, and my Brit BB raiders risk taking hits from those dreaded Betties and nells...

Good job K!!!
In Rabual we dance around each other, but that won't last as we have two fleets each smelling the others blood.... and I have air assetts that hopefully k does not ....... where are those CVs??????
He is slow in PH and MAly, but his advance continues, we really are so dramatically different players, should be interesting... with K seemingly a much better more thorough planner and I seem to take risks more easily.....
May be a bad strategy early on though???

I hope to get more air in the way of K's expansion....
