lookin' good. One question, though; are there any new oob changes on this patch?

Some very small ones I think, but you would have to ask PRY.

Every change in the data base is a small one [;)]

OOB changes are totally seperate from game executable changes which Kid keeps track of and the other testers do not know exactly what has been done with the OOB and what has been fixed or changed (Yet) so if you ask them they can't tell you. [:D]

We have been very busy working on the OOB, As of right now and we are still working, this is a hard and time consuming process, Rich Dionne and I have made an extensive number of changes and addressed over 100 individual issues that has resulted in several thousands of changes to the data base. Each issue could have resulted (and some did) in a thousand individual corrections to the data base to implement. Remember changes have to be carried over to every scenario that the change applies to so it is a heck of a lot more than making just a few changes to scenario 15. You all think of the game in terms of one scenario at a time we have to think of all 16 at once.

I am not prepaired to list all the changes right now because we are still working on making others, I will make a change list public as once we finalize what is going to be addressed in the patch.

I can confirm that the USN battleship radar issue has been fixed, It was not a CMAX problem but something else in the data base that affected 3 different classes of US battleships.

A few bones,

3rd New Zeeland Division has been broken up into Brigades and arrival staggered.
Singapore aircraft make their game debut
Soryu has increased sortie points
Many aircraft types (both sides) have been examined and had equipment changed from guns to bombloads. Yes Brady and Oleg, Peggy and Frances will now carry a torpedo as their default bombload.

Not everyone will get what they want but a large number of player requested changes have been dealt with in one way or another as well as previously know issues and problems.

Pretty sure even if they have found the leak that has leaders disappearing, that the fix wont fix whats already happened.

I lost one of only 2 Invasion fleet commanders. and as time goes by I am sure more will vanish.

I know it probably had nothing to do with my infamous LBA thread, but its a good excuse to claim victory

What makes you think you had nothing to do with it? [;)]

(the interim fixes reducing sound quality) effectively eliminated the former issues?

Grab the 44k version ... no sound quality loss there. At least no one is complaining about it. [;)]

Quite creative if you ask me, a good sized port where your subs could reload torpedoes without any fear of ever being attacked [:D]

Kid TY Very Much, The Hard wprk and concern shown for UV impresed the heck out of me and I see that the same kind of consideration is being shown for WiTP.

Pry:

"Many aircraft types (both sides) have been examined and had equipment changed from guns to bombloads. Yes Brady and Oleg, Peggy and Frances will now carry a torpedo as their default bombload. "

TY Sir I sincerly appricate the effort, I now it must be a horendious task to go through and check all that and to to implement it and I cant TY all enough for doing so.

19) Ships on accelerated build were not always appearing on map, when they were supposed to. FIXED.

Kid,
Does 19 refer to the ships that continually annouce they have arrived, only in actuality they are nowhere to be found? I.E. Japanese CV's? Thanks in advance,

Rick

Yes, This is the "stuck in queue" problem where a ship was accelerated, because of it was arriving at -1 or -2 days, it would never arrive yet always announce arrival.

I would have thought this to have been close to the first thing that would be addressed. I sure don't want to see a 2nd lieutenant Japanese pilot commanding the Hornet anymore. Further, Mitscher is no longer in the game (or maybe he's in charge of a Betty squadron somewhere). This is a major loss for Allied carrier command.
Put my faith in the people
And the people let me down.
So, I turned the other way,
And I carry on anyhow.

Can somesome verify this in the 1.3 patch;

Notice of re-enforcements appearing in the operational report!

I reported this a couple of days after Witp release and was told this feature was in the game but some how got left out of the final version. This is funny because this the same thing that happened in UV.[&:]

Thanks

As with all things ... fixes will fix things from that point onwards, they can't go back in time and unsink a ship or make a unit that vanished reappear.

You'll have to evaluate it yourself and choose whether you continue or not.

Always keep in mind, you can make a copy of the current version and continue to run your existing games under it while starting new games with the new version and new OOB fixes.

I noticed that the new soud patch (57MB) I can't seems to be able to play the sound files on winamp. The old files are fine but the new ones won't play. Are the new sound files encrypted ? I only ask because I would like the replace few sounds (example replace bombs falling sounds with bomber fly by sounds).

Thanks...

Peter
