Now this will be a surprise for the lazy imperialist Kichiku Beihei!

December 18th 1941

The Lingayen invasion continues.
SSI-68 hits AP Grant with one torpedo; unfortunately, the single AP, was escorted by 18 escorts, which hit it with 6 DCs, with predictable results.
Brave Japanese troops land at Mersing in the southern coast of Malaya. Wirraways and Buffalos and 3 Blenheims attempt to interrupt the landing forces, in a desperate and pathetic attempt to forestall the inevitable.
The British navy sorties a TF led by BB Revenge and CLAA Capetown a first wave of Nells attacks with no success. A second, larger wave, cannot locate the ships. A third wave, of only 3 Nells manages to hit CA Exeter freshly arrived from the River Plate action with two torpedoes, in revenge for the Graf Spee.
The invasion foces at Khota Baru are also receiving reinforcements.

The transport TF is again intercepted by KB; too far for torpedoes, the Kates drop 250 Kg bombs on the unescorted merchants.

AK Florence Bomb hits 9 sinks
AR Rigel Bomb hits 8 (Banzaiii)
AK Mercury, Bomb hits 11
AK Antares Bomb hits 2
AO Neosho Bomb hits 2
AK Mauna Loa Bomb hits 2

Second wave
AK Florence BH 4
AK Mercury BH 9 Sinks
AO Neosho BH 2
AK Mauna Loa BH 2

And a third wave (Vals only)

AK Antares BH 4
AO Neosho BH 3

And a 4th one (Kates)
AK Mauna Loa BH 2
AO Neosho BH 6
AK Antares BH 4

And once again,
AK Mauna Loa BH 19 (the macadamia nuts are totally ruined by now) Sinks
AK Antares BH 2 sinks
AO Neosho BH 13
AR Rigel BH 17 sinks
AK Laida BH 9

The other half of the same transport also receives attention from KB (These guys were too damaged yesterday, so they could not get away that fast)

AD Dobbin Torp 4 Sinks
DD Monaghan Torp1 sinks
AK Castor BH 1 Sinks
AK Hirondelle Torp 3 sinks

And again with Vals only, but the piolets are so exhausted that they all miss.

This is great news, specially the demise of AD Dobbin and AR Rigel are especially pleasing to his Majesty.

SS Sea Dragon torpedoes AP Kyokusei Maru which sinks, but all the troops had been landed, so it’s no big deal.

A new attack at Alor Star yields 582 allied casualties for only 121 Japanese.
AT Khota Baru the assault reduced the fortification level to 0

A Special Ginjo sake ration has been issued to all pilots in KB[:D]

K attacks and drives inland near Singapore. supported by over twenty fleet assets, which had fun playing tag with the British fleet which stopped by to say hello!!!!

K has his carrieers sniffing around PH, not too close.. unfortunately!
My forces are licking there wounds, but some bright points appeared as a large formation of p40s located near Singapore slaughtered two waves of jap planes intente on mischief.

In other news the defenders ion the philipines are digging in!
Nothing in the Solomans or Borneo, yet!

Mersing was taken, and the invading troops are pushing west. Singapore will be isolated from the north of Malaya, and will then fall easily.
The invasion of the Philippines will step up in pace, after the fall of Malaya.

Freeboy is freebasing again.[8|]
He is not going to be able to hold Singapore much, as soon as Khota Baru falls. As for the Philippines, they'll fall when they are ripe.
And Kido Butai will go back to the Eastern Pacific whenever Nagumo feels the urge to kick soma *$$ and let's see what can Halsey do about it[;)]

An excellent grasp of naval tactics, when there is no enemy BB in sight. The Repulse might do as well against some naval units!
