Nawp, it wuz the seat part that wuz padded. Gramma bought 'er at K-Mart fer the ole man, and he wuz the only one what used it, so he didn't care what was on it. It mighta been scat, but it was HIS scat, so he could wallow in it while he grunted away and read the paper.

I think she bought it for him because she was sick and tired of cleaning up after the old b@stard (that was what she called him behind his back - "the old b@stard").

Balck vinyl toilet seat cushion That has to be unsanitary

Not really.

See, the toilet seat is on hinges, and you can raise it up to a vertical position when a male must use the toilet from a standing position...

Whoa! That works really well! I dare say it is fun too.

Thanks mlees. You've changed my life [&o]

"scat"...you are killing me [:D]

The mental image of the old guy sitting on his scent-marked vinyl toilet seat making odd noise and reading the box scores [:D]

The only problem I have with vinyl seat cushions is that if you are seated on one, and it is very hot in the bathroom, and you perspire a whole lot, standing up is usually accompanied by a sound not unlike velcro being pulled apart. Very annoying.

Yeah, I had a Jewish Princess girlfriend in high school who weighed about a concrete block too much, and she made exactly that sound when she got up off my Volkswagen vinyl car seat. Also, whenever she wore pantyhose, she made that "whish-slap, whish-slap" sound that you hate for your friends to hear when you're with her.

Her mother chainsmoked cigarettes out of the corner of her mouth like Burgess Meredith as the Penguin in the old Batman TV series, but that's another story ... for another hopelessly off-topic thread ...

Obviously, the graphics are not the best possible.

However, I have . . . for a number of years now . . . bemoaned the fact that people who make games (and movies, and television shows) put so much money into visual effects and ignore content.

I have long said that, if I were to ever inherit such a company, the first thing I would do is fire half of the graphic artists and use the money that I saved to hire some writers/programmers.

So, yes, the combat animations suck. But if money was going to be spent improving the game, I would rather have them pay programmers to improve the AI, then artists to improve the combat animations.

I don't watch combat animations. Have seen for couple minutes worth of those so far.

In UV I watched combat replays and combat reports while watching the replay.

In WITP, I watch replays only if something important is about to happen. Usually I just check text reports and do my turn. But in Wipt turn will always run without popup combat reports.

I like the animations.

3D scenes from Aces of the Pacific would be nice, but what we have is good enough for the game.

I agree, they could always be better, but I always watch them as they add a bit more excitement to the game, as if it needed it[:)]

They are only functional, but there is nothing better than watching those shells/torps etc slam home.....and crying out 'Come ON Boys'.[:D][8D]

As for toilet seats....[8|]

As mentioned in other threads (not this topic), there is one key bit of info you MUST see in the combat replays involving Ground Combat -- when you do a Deliberate or Shock attack, at the very end of the replay a little message pops up (sadly not inlcuded in the AAR summary) that indicates by how much your and your opponent's assault factors were changed (increase or decrease). This is extremely important information as it tells you (based on calculations including supply, support, leadership, defensive terrain, fatigue, disruption and more) how the combat is REALLY going compared to those misleading numbers you see either in the summary or the initial battle replay.

The recommendation was made to change the time for ground combat replay to the max just to get this pair of numbers. I think a great improvement for those not using animations would be to include this key information in the ground combat summary reports....
