No doubt, the Handschar division's conduct was, to say the least, dubious.
But then again, we have seen this happening over and over again in that region. It always gets ugly (more so than the 'usual' ugliness of a war) when partian warfare is waged. And with a division largely made up of Bosnian Muslims fighting in an area where there is, and was, so much ethnic tension...

I wouldn't know if we should put them alongside the Dirlewanger division just yet.

Maybe someones interested to know that I´m currently working on a caucasus42 scenario. It has german mountain troops battling soviets in real mountainous terrain. Battle area is "wood caucasus" near Tuapse in october 1942.

Cause I made it work with high cliffs and rocks terrain, real "cliffhangers" are needed here in some places. "Gebigsjägers" are actually edited "special forces" units for this reason.

Earlier on this thread Paul mentioned that ski troopers ski in winter terrain, and walk in the other ares. Does this mean that when playing on winter maps they should be making swishing sounds similar to skis? I just tried this and they still make that running sound when in dirt... I know this sounds like a silly question, but just wondering.

Completely off topic:
Why not add winter sound files to the game? Not just swishing ski sounds, but plodding-through-snow sounds as well. Instead of the
'normal' squad running sounds. And have all sounds muffled a bit, as all noises are dampened by the snow. :p

I'm serious. It'd be cool.
Since the stereo sound patch is 200+ megs already, a few more megs won't make a difference for DL'ing...?

Belisarius, you know this might not be a bad idea for the CL Modern Battles game! With the new game engine this might be a possibility!!
