If I can get free time by then, count with a Sinner on the convention.
Alas, Chuck Yeager was a great guy and I love flying. So, what a nice excuse
Like flying to San Diego to see the Pac Navy there... well, I mean, I had to go to California and I picked a random airport... well, you know what I mean
Salut,

I like your idea of a chat session for sharing ideas. This is why I wanted to start planning at least six-seven months in advance. I'm still waiting on some word from David Heath to see if he will give it his blessing (and support). Wild Bill, God love him, is in. As far as a website to promote this, I hope we can get a page on this site. I'm open to any suggestions from those who expressed an interest in attending.Originally posted by TheZel:
Yo KG, any thoughts on an agenda while we're their? Also, any chance of you or someone getting a website up regarding specifics to the conference? What about having a chat session to brainstorm ideas??

How about visiting the chat room at 8 pm EST Friday Aug 3? I can only register in as guest, since my forum name apparently keeps getting rejected as "invalid user name". I'll try to set up the room as "Convention", and go from there. I'll test that right now. If anyone cares to, help me out to see if it works.

Ok, I sent an RFP to Embassy Suites, with rooms for 50-75 people for two days and a conference room for Saturday May 11, 2002. This is just an experiment, because we need to know how expensive this may be. I'm just winging this, guys, so bear with me. Dave Heath has said nothing, so at this point it seems that the attendants will be laying out all the expenses. What's it gonna cost? This is the thing that will make or break this meeting proposal. I'll be in the "Convention" chat room tonight at 8:00 EST, so please drop in and give me some input. I want to do this, but I can't pay for it all. If you guys are as serious as I am about making this event a reality, then it's gotta be a group effort, and I'm just the man doing the legwork onsite.

Any major airlines fly into that airport? If American does, I at least could get there since my sister and her husband work for AA and I could get a reduced fare ticket.Originally posted by KG Erwin:
If I can get the go-ahead from David Heath, and we can get a Matrix fan gathering together in Charleston, West Virginia, say in spring 2002, how many of you guys can come? Wild Bill said earlier that he would definitely appear, so how about it?
Thanks, John.

Thanks, John." Thanks for your interest, John. American, Delta, Northwest, United Express and US Air all have connections to Yeager Airport in Charleston. There's a stopover in either Pittsburgh, Charlotte or Atlanta, depending on which company you use. Hope this helps.
