(This was a case of subs operating out of Egypt going after allied shipping)

They can wreck substantial havoc in the IO and approaches to Australia, without venturing into the "Forbidden Zone".

I can't imagine diplomacy adding very much to the game. its like adding weather and natural disaster than too. all these extra details would just add unecessary complexity to an already complex game.

I suppose if you wanted everything to be modeled in this game the extra facets would be nice, but I'm also looking to have a relatively fast game occasionally. thats what I loved about the old axis&allies game, you could play through it in one hour. you're lucky to get through this one in three as it is.

at some point you have to stop adding to game and just perfect what you do have.
