Maryland sunk!
The end is near
"We American people have had to suffer the humiliation of deafeat many a time this December, and today the pain and suffering continues, the Battleship Maryland has been attacked and sunk NE of Pearl Harbour"
President Rooselvelt annouced today in a somber speech to the American people, to try and rally the country once again into action.
The Battleship which had survived both Japanese strikes at Pearl Harbour taking many Torpedo's and Bombs, four days ago in left Pearl Harbour to a rapturous appalause and emtotional cheers, but two days ago the Japanese Kido Butai sighted and attack the dommed Battleship, and today they finished the job..
The Maryland sailing a few hours before attack
The Battleship received 5 Bomb hits receiving superifcial damage, then the Torpedo bombers the "Kate" swooped in low and fast, the Ship manuerved and dodges the first waves of Torpedos, but at 2:01 pm two Torpedos struck the ship in its port side, causing a slight list of 12 degrees but slowing the ships speed down to half.
The following five Torpedos had no troble hitting the striken Battleship, and it later sunk at 6:19 pm as the Sun whent down, so did the Maryland.
Destroyers rushed in once the attack had cleared and managed to
save a good percentage of the hundreds of survirors, these escort ships are now speeding towards Pearl.
Allies fight back

The CV Enterprise, has launched several retalitory strikes against Japanese invasion barges off the coast of Canton island.
SBD's dive through the clouds and score a hit on the Nissin Maru
SBD's and Avenger Torpedo bombers, escoted by the F4F-3 Wildcat fighters met no resistance in the skies above the occupied island, the Japanese still unloading supplies and secondary weaponry where caught with there pants down as bombs and torpedos splashed into the shallow water.
Fighters realising that no fighters would turn up to spoil the party, broke off from escort duties and started strafing the Japanese infantry as the ducked for cover.
"It was a small, but releiving payback for Pearl" A Sbd pilot commented after he touched down on the Enterprise, which is now speeding SW.
Only one Dauntless was damaged in the attack which gives some hope to Allies commanders.
Operation Halfway "underway"
Fuel and Supplies are being unloaded slowly but Surely at Midway island, the supply convo arrived at the island early this morning and instantly set ancor and begun the long and risky task of unloading thier cargo.
The Saratoga waits paitiently Miles SE of the Island to provide some protection.
The operations could take many days to come, and the taskforce will be spending there Christmas on the island.
