Nice work. Any OOB changes or can I plan a 1.5 game using the units in the same places as in 1.4?

Just give it 10 seconds and it will be fine. I started doing that, no CTDs in a month.

What about the leaders of LCU's disappearing?

They are being swiped by ships and aircraft. The LCU's themselves don't appear to be a problem, but time will tell as there are many variations of these.

1) Submarines on human control were not returning to port, when Winchester or Bingo. Fixed. Submarines now return to port when they have exhausted torpedoes or have fuel reserves less than the distance to home base x 1.5, when on a patrol mission. Submarines on other missions automatically return to port, when mission is complete, but no test is made to see if they have enough fuel to accomplish mission. This should be ascertained by player, when setting mission. Also, submarines in task forces of more than one submarine only have the submarine with the lowest number in the database checked.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! So much of my time as Allied Commander (it's 12/43) is spent querying the fuel/loadout status of my subs as opposed to thinking about what they're doing and where they should be formed up.
6) Land units that have the replacements toggle set to, “No replacements”, no longer receive equipment upgrades.

Good, I was hoping for a "allow/no upgrades" for land units like air but this will work just as well.
25) On the task force orders screen, the colors for the range to destination and fuel available have been changed. Until now, if the estimated fuel needed exceeded 75% of that available, the values were printed in red; else they were printed in green. They are now printed in red, if the value exceeds 100% of the available fuel.

Thanks for this too, this did often confuse me.

Hiyas,

Did the scenario discrepancies that were requested by Pry in Feb make it into 1.5?

Great job btw [&o]

With the new aircraft stuff, you will most certainly be running with accept turned off. Trust me. [;)]

Since you can select by Command HQ then filter what is displayed by deselecting types of units (ENG, INF, etc), you can pretty much drill down and toggle masses of troops to accept or not accept with a couple of clicks.

ie: lets say you want all ENG type units in the south pacific to accept replacements but no other ENG units.

Hit your G key. Toggle off all but Engineers. Click No replacements button. Now select one of the ENG's reporting to South Pacific. On it's panel is a Show ground units with same HQ. Click it. You now have Just the ENG units reporting to SOPAC shown and can now click Allow replacements.

Quick and simple to control bulk troops by using the HQ + Filters.

Wow! A lot of work.

Thanks for all the hard work you put into this, Mike. Gonna make restarts a lot easier to take.

Tanaka,
I think the "no replacements/upgrades" issue with the AI was resolved in a prior patch. I'm pretty sure you can select the option either way without hurting the AI in games vs the AI. It hasn't been an issue for me in my 3rd game vs the AI. (started with version 1.3, I think)

PS, Mike (and others): You ROCK!!

I thought it was but I kept seeing people talk about it so i wasnt so sure... [&:]

I take it this will fix problems like the Japanese Paratroopers jumping without their anti-tank guns that have upgraded and are too big to carry???

A lot of the rule changes require a restart since they require access to new device table data.

He Frag (love your sheep).

Just a quick question, has the "chance" for experienced float search planes units (80 +) to conduct a night naval attack been increased?. I understood this was also fixes from previous announcements but was unable to locate it in this list?

Nope, very difficult to actually answer that kind of question with any certainty. Really comes down to keep the save separate and try a couple of turns. Bug fixes do not impact or require database changes, new features generally do.
