Talking of mice. Over here in the UK there is an insurance advert called 'E-Sure'. The advert has this little mouse moving all over a PC and in the end if opens up THE mouse and hides inside it. Maybe they really do exist IN mice. I will investigate further [:D]

After dissecting my mouse at work (with strange looks from colleagues) I can confirm a small vermin type thing does reside in our mice! Be careful all...........

I had a look too, couldn't actually find a mouse in mine but there's lots of grunge which I guess are droppings he left behind.

He must have heard you coming. I was very quiet. At least until I opened the mouse and noticed the vermin and clobbered it with the stapler at my desk

well it was squekin again

got up to listen

rear of the case

nto sure exactly wher, but its in the rear

im thinking power supply or a fan ball bearing

temp reading with my blue led fan my 5 stock fans and my 70+CFM thermaltake fan is around 97 fahrenheit

i tried switchin em around so that the side fan would blow toward the cpu/heatsinkfan, in hopes of getting the temp down, but no effect, so i put it back on exhaust

temps about 97 dgrees

down from maybe 108

10 degree difference with ONE fan

im encouraged and im gettin more and more powerful fans

but i need a new power supply

RE: SQUEAKING LOCALIZED! replacement for CPU fan and heatsink CHOSEN- volcano temp 2 steady at about

Post by marky »

my blue led fan bit the dust, the wires came off[:(][&:][X(][:'(]

it was only like 8$ tho[:'(]

i replaced it with the reserve orange stock fan

the turbofan has made a difference

temp has dropped almost 10 degrees from just 1

it fluctuates of course but its made a big difference

Have you tried a hammer? May I recommend an 8 pound sledge. I'm sure the whining noise would be a thing of the past.

i love this stuff

i think i found my career path

finally...

im thinkin the whining could be my turbofan

its runnin at 4800 RPM at maybe 75 CFM

itas taken the temp down to about 96, about 10 degrees difference

i cant wait to get sum adaptors and put in a cpl 120 turbofans

and i have a line on an 80mm fan which is said to move 110+ CFM
