Revising the first post for this thread is way overdue. However, I really don't have the time myself.

Despite that, the first post does still point to most of the important threads in the forum, though in almost every case there are dozens (or hundreds) of additional posts have been made in each of those threads since I wrote which posts (#s) to read. The posts I listed by number are still important, though I suspect some of the ones that followed the last one I have listed are also very important - and might even supercede some of the ones I have listed.

Be sure to look at the 3 "Links to ..." threads, which are essentially an index into 3 frequently viewed topics: Map Screenshots, Tutorials, and AI Opponent.
