About a year ago there was a post allowing players from the forum to have leaders in WPO named for them. Did this make the final cut?

You make a good point, but as Tankerace said when he announced it, it just wasn't possible to track down every commander of every ship in the game plus coming up with an accurate representation of their leadership specs so why not let players submit their own. After all, you can shift commanders to tailor the commands to your own liking. I was reviewing the database this afternoon and there is no shortage of unassigned commanders with a wide spectrum of capabilities.

I'm glad to see that you bought WPO... I'm looking forward to reading your further thoughts on it.

Any Historical rendering would be simply for historical rendering of a peacetime navy, where WPO is in actually a "what if" Mod of what never happend,
so if there had been a real war, there would been many more officers over the war that never served in a peacetime navy... So WPO is a mix of historical and ahistorical officers...

If one Really wants to that badly be historical accurate in names they could do the research for like My command's (BC Lexington) commander etc and use editor to create a perfectly historical Mod...[:D][:D]

I remember I volunteered as captain of Yamashiro IIRC. I think it is important to keep names at least somewhat realistic, so if you'd see someone named Johnson as IJN commander you would not know whetner it's leader bug at play or some guy from the webboard named Johnson really wanted to be in the game as IJN leader.

Now since theys managed to convince me Mastruko could work as Japanese name I took Yamashiro exactly to be different from anybody else (in real life I am as Japanese as you are Martian)
