And most importantly, let us not forget that Picard's Enterprize's sister ship was called Yamato. It also died a horrible, and somewhat useless death after never being mentioned before for ever accomplishing anything. Not even a superb job of charting a nebula or something.

I always love a good war movie. Looks like a very good movie. Short of flying to Tokyo for the movie, I wonder how long does it take for the movie to be released as DVD? Does it come with English subtitle? Maybe can buy it online thru some Japanese retailer?

Kinda like the Titanic. It was a dramatic sinking, sure, but it wasn't the biggest. The Queen Elizabeth, another passenger ship, sunk and took more lives than the titanic. But no one ever talks about the Queen Elizabeth. Why? Because the Titanic was just so big, and sank on its maiden voyage. Its not a matter of doing something, its a matter of what you represent to the people.

The Titanic also had titanic egos to boot, to go with it. Do you recall it was called "unsinkable"? For such a ridiculous boast, to see it go down on the first voyage just emphasized the arrogance of such a statement. I think it was also dubbed the ship God couldn't sink and other such rubbish. I doubt any QE engineers or captains dubbed her so.
