French underestimated Viet Minh and overestaminated their own Fire Power well the same errors were repeted by the US 15 years later...


Actually this is untrue. The French were defeated many times by the Viet-Minh during their conflict. The U.S. however never lost a battle to the enemy.


I'm not disputing what you have to say but it does raise a philosophical question....

What constitutes winning or losing a particular battle? There is such a thing as a Pyrrhic victory...
