A modern CIC UI has evolved since Harpoon3 was designed, not even the symbols are correct any more.

I didn't knew that the NTDS symbols were obsolete. What do they use now?

Dunno but since it recreates the 80's IMHO the graphics is appropiate. If only the fonts and the menus could be changed.

I might have been to hasty in my comments...

A CIC probably still uses the bare NTDS symbology as before, but I have always belived that Harpoon offered a bigger scope than that.

The present NATO symbol standard is called APP-6A and was adopted in 2001. Command and control systems in higher level joint HQ´s, at least in my experience uses this kind of symbology.

My suggestion would be to remove the stylized icons and replace them with the new standard, because they would certainly fill the same needs.
