I understand.......I play Links golf, Combat Mission series and even Take Command 2nd Man (this one gets slow above brigade level however) which are all 3D.......what makes this one so different?

Panzer Command is using hardware texturing and lighting, where the other games may not need it.

I'm not going to 100% rule out a bug in the code, because the game is supposed to scale down in graphics requirements, even if it means losing frame rate. I think one of our testers actually got it working on a really old 32M card - but with slide show performance. I'm pretty sure that Panzer Command would give you the same performance on this video card.
