PadresFan & Dneely - I'm downloading that template right now and plan on taking over a team tonight. I know Dneely is using Phoenix but what team are you playing PadresFan? I'm going to keep the rosters the same as you have them setup in the template and then take over a team that you two are not already managing and see how I do.

I'll post more later when I get the template downloaded and setup. I might create a thread in The Locker so we can post our updates on how we are doing with this NAMBLA Association.
He is playing the San Diego Surf Dawgs.

Another good idea is to all play the same team and see how fast you can take the team to win the world series compare to others.

Yep, San Diego for me.

The only problem I see with this idea is that we are all going to play at a different pace. I manage every game, so I am only into early May at this point.

I am currently riding a 7 game winning streak (swept New York and Boston) but am still 6 games behind Phoenix who are playing incredible ball.

I'm stoked you guys are trying it out. Hope you like the logos. I had fun with them, and kept them generic (except for a couple like NY) so team names could be changed easily.

Guys:

I am also going to be playing out all the Phoenix games! so I will be slow as well. But we are not in any rush here. I did sim the 1st month after playing 3 games but I will not be simming any more. I like to get some real game stats to give me more of an idea what my team is like. With school starting next week I hope I can keep up....

I am at work, and am jonesing about getting home and downloading this league. can't wait to read how everyone else is doing. [:D]

Padresfan, Dneely & Scott - Yea I'm managing every game also so I don't see that part being a problem.  Of course I just only finished my first game of the season but that's okay.  I took over the Orlando Thunder and we are 1 - 0 after a high scoring first game of the season.  I guess the Winton-Salem field is a Hitters Park because I believe we had 8 HR's in the game with a final score of 11 - 8.

I'll start a thread in The Locker and if you guy's want you can post your results/updates there.

If anyone else like Scott wants to download PadresFan's Association and join in on comparing how our teams do please do.

This should be alot of fun!!!

Ok, this is darn cool... I'll try and get a thread going for us over in the dynasty forum over lunch and post some interesting facts about my particluar "dimension."

Now, I do have my fingers crossed that I am using the same pool of players that was posted to my website, and that I didn't generate a new pool!!! [X(]

EDIT
Just saw your post ak, go ahead and start the thread if you want, or I will if I don't see it later...

Regarding Winston-Salem and any other team that isn't represented by a major league park.  For these parks, I used photos of minor league teams, but the underlying ballpark is the default PureSim park, as I thought this would be a good neutral park for these teams.

Nope, I only chose cities or states that I've lived in or visited and Louisville isn't one of them. [:(] Hope you can find another city you like.

Will it be more of a challenge if we choose the lowest team budget?

In the first season, no, but maybe in later years. For now, all teams, regardless of budget have plenty of cash.
